  • Implementation of stainless steel in uniaxial bending design of reinforced concrete rectangular cross sections considering Eurocode 2 standard [Elektronski vir]

    The paper presents a detailed approach to the uniaxial bending analysis of a concrete rectangular cross section with a stainless steel reiforcement. The analysis utilizes the parabola-rectangular ... stress-strain design diagram for concrete, and the Ramberg-Osgood equation for the stress-strain curve for the stainless steel. The paper focuses on the detrmination of the required tensile reinforcement cross section and presents the applied procedure that is based on the equations resulting from equilibrium conditions. The paper further presents a clear comparison of the required cross-sections as a function of the applied bending moments utilizing the steel from the Eurocode 2 standard and also the stainless steel.
