  • Possibilities of arrangement of two heat sources for welding

    The paper describes welding with two heat sources, i.e., two arcs or an arc or a laser beam. In the case of two heat sources, the distance between them as well as power and energy distribution in ... each of them can be varied. The energy distribution in two heat sources is mathematically described and shown in 3D figures. Three types of the bimodal heat source are shown. One of them is symmetric in all directions with reference to the longitudinal x axis only. At the end of the paper, an application of the unimodal heat source having power transition from one heat source to the other performed with an inflection point in the horizontal plane is shown.
