  • Zagotavljanje in preverjanje kakovosti v mamografiji = Quality assurance and quality control in mammography

    Due to specific properties of changes in woman breast, mammography is one of the technically most demanding technique. Since high quality mammographyot mean just high quality images but also lowest ... possible radiation dose to the breast, quality criteria includes criteria for images and criteria for patientexposure. High quality in mammography can be achieved with skilled personnel, proper equipment and good organization including quality control program. Quality control is primarily intended for doctors, who use images in diagnosis. Although some of the quality parameters can be checked on real images, the most influencing physical and technical parameters are checked during regular tests of different parts of the imaging chain. Some of the tests that should be performed more often (daily or weekly) and equipment needed for these are described.
