  • High-pressure membrane reactor for enzyme-catalysed reactions [Elektronski vir]
Leitgeb, Maja ; Primožič, Mateja, 1975- ; Knez, Željko
A very elegant way of reusing a non-immobilised enzyme as biocatalyst in a high-pressure continuous reactor is to use membranes in such a reactor. The products and unreacted substrates should ... permeate through the membranes and the biocatalyst should be retained in the reactor. These facts were experminetally confirmed. The influence of compression and expansion steps on the activity of proteinase from Carica papaya latex in SC CO2, near critical propane and dimethyl ether was studied. The connection between the way of transition frpm supercritical to low-pressure state and the half-life of the enzyme were investigated. The new type of high-pressure continuous membrane reactor nylon membranes were combined with SC CO2 for the lipase-catalysed hydrolysis of sunflower oil.
