    A Design Adaptation System for machining in toolmaking (DASMT) is proposed in order to avoid the knowledge gap between product and tool designers. The focusof the presented paper on the development ... of the Design Adaptation Systemfor EDM (DAS-EDM). This system helps the designer to check the viabilityof individual features to their machinability by EDM process. The system reveals features, which are critical for EDM machining and makes suggestions to the designer to alter the features by keeping the overall functionality of the product.
