    It is now almost generally accepted that new competitive realities in the global market require cooperation and partnership. Yesterday's competitors are creating alliances to master the rules of new ... competition. They are integrating scattered capabilities and market opportunities to pioneer new products and services. In this paper we will first discuss the meaning of incorporating of RBV in the field of POM, with emphasis on the advantages of using the RBV approach in the research on networks. Evolutionary development of capabilities in networks has been almost completely overlooked. The second part is a presentation of preliminary research findings of a pilot case study, where the dynamics of the developing of network capabilities are discussed.
