  • Utjecaj percepcije vlastite starosne dobi na ponašanje žena kao potrošača = The influence of age perception on women consumer behavior

    Demographic changes of habitants is factor which more and more change situation in Europe as in other developed parts of the world. People live longer and they are more vital than in the past. Ageing ... of population affect many areas of everyday life. The number of older persons grow and their characteristics are essential different than characteristics of past generations. Those was the reasons of authors interest for the perception of psychological oldness of women older than 50. Also in focus of authors interest were the differences between the group of women who feel themselves as younger than actual and group of women who feel themselves as old as they were actual. The third field of interest was what they think about the question of when a person is old. 225 women were included in the research. To acquire the informations we use a questionnaire, which includes questions about chronological age and perceived age and questions about 23 values, 31 free time activities and 15 sport activities. Results show that more than a half of women feel themselves younger than they really are, 40% feel themselves as old as they are and less than 5% feel themselves older than they are. More than a half of asked women think that they look like they are 10 years younger. Most of the women think that a person is old when he/she is over 70.
