  • The significance of the logos in the relational aspect of John's theology
    Matjaž, Maksimilijan
In order to understanding the relational and salvational aspects of John's theology we will examine the key meaning of the Word. The word (logos) awakens faith which is for John the synonym for life. ... The one who wants to belong to Jesus has to "dwell" in the word that resides in him. Remembering makes the Word alive here and now. The only true interpreter of God and His revelation is the One who lives in a unique relationship with Him, that is the only-begotten Son. The incarnated Logos is the channel of communication of the invisible God. He who is one with the Father in thought, purpose and deed declares his Oneness with God as salvation which is available to everyone who believes in Him. Logos-Word can therefore give a new birth at any time.
