    An adaptive control for the GMAW has been developed and presented in this paper. It perates on the basis of the groove crosssection profile and position measurements. The required adjustments are ... calculated from the deviations between the groove dimensions in current welding position and dimensions at the beginning of the weld. This enable successfully welding of pieces, which have larger deviations in groove shape and position.
