  • Architecture of a highly specialised embedded controller and observer of industrial processes

    It is shown how a process control and observer algorithm can be implemented onan autonomous processor generating process state estimates in real time, which, thus, become immediately available to ... supervisory control system without causing heavy computational loads there. Then, it is investigated how the concept can be applied to the design of a single chip computer solely dedicated to permanent control and estimation. To this end, an appropriate RISC architecture is devised and the corresponding programming model is detailed.
