  • Blacksmith: implementing applications with a object-to-relationship mapping framework

    The live cycle of application development consists of many changes that arise from changes of requirements, documents, reports or organization structure. These changes impact the domain model and the ... relational database. Our framework "Blacksmith" allows us to make fast changes in the object domain model. It automatically generates a new version of object wrappers and the corresponding relational database. By using this object-relationship mapping framework and our object-XML mapping XSLT processor we can develop our application in short iterative cycles and produces it to the end users even before all functions are implemented. That way all projects in which requirements often change and the system development consists of many short iterative cycles can be implemented faster and easy.
