  • Delovno mesto in delovno vzdušje fizioterapevta = Working environment and atmosphere in the physiotherapy ward
Gole, Melita ; Divjak, Mojca, 1956-
When working with patients, physiotherapists usually concentrate on them, their illness and problems but we rarely ask ourselves what we feel when working with patients and how this work influences ... us. This paper presents factors which cause stress of the physiotherapists at work. The survey was conducted to identify these factors. The most frequent stress factors at work are relationships and organisational problems followed by too many patients and problems related to illness. It was found out that the most stressful group are the physiotherapists working at health centres and at the Institute of RS for Rehabilitation. The least stressful is the group working at the health resorts. The problem of a large number of patients is the most acute inhealth centres and in health resorts where half of the number of patients would be acceptable. Most of the physiotherapists find their work interesting, only among the physiotherapists that work in health resors there is a significant number of those who find their work monotonous. The professional opinion of physiotherapists is taken into account the most in private practice and the least in health resorts. It was established that additional training is also one of the stress factors.
