    On August 31st 2000, a nest of the Red-rumped Swallow was found in a rockwall below Veli Badin at Kraški rob (Karst Edge, SW Slovenia). Four fledglings wereseen by the nest, obviously still sharing ... it with their parents. The nest was situated on the overhanging part of the wall facing SW, some 7 metres fromthe ground. The newly discovered nest-sites can be attributed to the spreading of the Red-rumped Swallow's range towards the north, although it is quite possible that its breeding in the previous years was made impossible by sports climbers.
