    A research study is presented which was carried out in November 1999 among themembers of the Endocrinological section of nurses and medical tehnicians ofSlovenia. It reflects the situation in the ... field of health education of diabetics, its methods and consistency, premises provided for it and the position of the educators in diabetical centres and dispensaries for diabetes in Slovenia. The comparison is made between this research and a similar one from 1996. The results of the research show that health education is still nota continued process. It is carried out in unsuitable premises, by not sufficiently trained personnel who beside health education perform also other professional work. Almost 10 % of health educators find their work unsatisfying.
