  • Odpornost bakterij, ki se prenašajo z živali na človeka, v Sloveniji = Resistance of bacteria transmitted from animals to humans in Slovenia

    Resistance of bacteria that cause zoonoses and infections in animals and humans is important in human and veterinary medicine. The paper presents the results of antibiograms from 1995 to 2001 for the ... species Salmonella choleraesuis (36 strains), Listeria monocytogenes (6 strains), Campylobacter jejuni (4 strains), Pasteurella multocida (28 strains), Pseudomonas aeruginosa(61 strains), Staphylococcus aureus (35 strains), Aeromonas hydrophila (10 strains) and Escherichia coli (440 strains), identified at the Veterinary Faculty in Ljubljana. An increase in resistance was observed in thesalmonellae, E. coli and S. aureus. Strains of S. choleraesuis, P. multocida, P. aeruginosa and E. coli isolated from various animal species showa higher resistance to the antibiotics which are frequently used in their treatment.
