    Medical treatment of patients diagnostically processed with identified arthrosis of one or more joints is mostly conservative, although with the development of arthroplasty, surgical treatment is ... becoming increasingly frequent. Treatment with medications is merely symptomatic and insufficient. The key role in treating such patients is played by rehabilitation, with an eye to preventing the progress of disease, improving a weakened or returning alost function, substituting for or overcoming certain losses of function by applying aids and in training patients for an independent life by maintaining their family and partner role and normal social life, and lastly, to enable their vocational rehabilitation. In order for us to attain these objectives, ateam-like and sometimes even interdisciplinary treatment of such patients is necessary, through involving the patient him- or herself, along with his/her family, in the rehabilitation process.
