  • Social representations and educational transfers of social knowledge

    Educational sciences traditionally lack concepts that would enable them to conceive the relation between the informative and formative functions of education. In the paper it is argued that the ... concept of social representation is one of those concepts that are nevertheless helpful at this point. It was developed in French sociology but it soon found its way into sciences that study educational processes. It proved particulary suitable for the study of the relation between the informative and formative functios of the social sciences and the humanities in primary and secondary schools.
