  • Determining the elongation of a rod in different gravitational fields of a black hole [Elektronski vir]

    This work explores the elongation of a steel rod in the gravitational fields of black holes of different masses, comparing constant and variable field approximations. Using stress–strain ... relationships and Newton’s law of gravitation, elongation and maximum rod length before fracture were calculated. Results show that gravitational gradients significantly increase elongation near black holes, with smaller black holes producing stronger stretching effects. The analysis demonstrates how extreme gravitational fields influence material deformation, linking astrophysical conditions to mechanical limits.
