  • Celična imunost pri prepoznavi imunskih pomanjkljivosti in mikrobnih bolezni = Importance of cellular immunity inrecognition of immunodeficiencies and microbial infections
Malovrh, Tadej ; Škoberne, Mojca, 1972- ; Kotnik, Vladimir
Cellular immunity is our body's most important defence against intracellular parasites, tumor cells and foreign transplanted tissues. There are several laboratory tests which are used for ... determination of the number and function of immune cells involved in cellular immunity. Disorders in the number and function of distinct cells in relation to clinical signs can be evidence for immunodeficiency. Integrity of cellular immunity is often tested by the capability of T lymphocytes to respond to mitogens and antigens. In the lymphocyte blast transformation test we the mitogens to determine the status of the entire cellular immunity picture, while antigens used with the same method can be a diagnostic tool for some infectious diseases, e.g. Lyme borreliosis.
