  • Zvišana telesna temperatura pri sistemskih boleznih vezivnega tkiva = Fever in connective tissue diseases

    The author outlines fever, its incidence and etiology in connective diseases. Certain diseases, such as systemic lupu erythematosus, Sjoegren syndrome systemic vasculitides, inflammatory myopathies, ... where the fever is either a frequent initial symptom or the signof the disease worsening, are described. The fact, that the fever patterns or its extent in these illnesses are not specific, is pointed out. The accormpanying systemic symptoms of the fever (weight loss, fatigaue) are described, together with the possibility of life threatening, rapid and progrssive vital organ damages. Because of well known immune deficiency and frequent use of immunomodulating drugs defence against bacteria and viruses is radically reduced. Therefore the awareness of the infection even the opportunistic one and of unusual localisation is revealed. The basic differential diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are described as well.
