    Nowadays most of the applications are built using object-oriented concepts, like objects, components, patterns, frameworks, UML, etc. They all promote reuse. The paper describes how XML, which is not ... an object-oriented technique, can be used in business collaboration in order to achieve reuse. ebXML is a business collaboration framework, which mission is to provide an open XML-based infrastructure enabling e-commerce, ebXML is based on reuse of ebXML Core Components, which are building blocks that can be used in many different domains One of the objectives of the ebXML Core Components is to define a process by which core components can be discovered, catalogued in sufficient detail and specilized for the use in specific context. ebXML Core Components are syntax-neutral and can be described with different syntaxes UBL is a standard that describes ebXML Core Components with XML Schemas.
