  • The Slovenian wholesale electricity market [Elektronski vir]
    Bojnec, Štefan ; Papler, Drago
The deregulation and liberalization of the electro energy system in Slovenia have induced market restructuring with more dynamic market transactions in the wholesale market, abolishment of critical ... inefficiencies and competitive supply to final electricity consumers. While the competition in the wholesale electricity market is encouraged by the entry of new suppliers, the state role in the wholesale electricity enterprises is still important. The Lorenz curve and Gini coefficient of concetration reveal high concentration of the wholesale suppliers of electrical energy. The regression analysis for the price function confirm the crucial role of the direct price elasticity, which is measured by the real purchase price for electrical energy at the wholesale market. The multivariate factor analysis, which is based on the unique survey data, indicates two common factors related to development recognition and business trust.
