Adjuvantno zdravljenje malignega melanoma = Adjuvant treatment of malignant melanoma

Considering rapidly increasing incidence and the high mortallity rates observed in advanced melanoma numerous studies of adjuvant treatment are investigating the possible benefit of various ...approaches. During the past years some progress has been made in treatment of cutaneous melanoma. Recent studies mostly involve the use of interferon-alfa. Promising results have beenreported in high risk patients with high dose IFN-alfa, though a standard regimen has been established yet. The results of ongoing studies are presentedand discussed and some new possible approaches with vaccines are mentioned.
