  • The process organization : designing of the structure of the business systems based on renewed business processes
    Kern, Tomaž, 1964-
The article embraces the essentials and condensed results of a research dealing with the interaction of processes and structures in business systems. The research is conceived on the basis of ... studying the organization and its changing. It takes into account the fact, that the basis of mastering the changes of the organization is the ability of interpretation of such abstract notions as are business processes and structures, for which object modelling is used. It describes the phases of renewal, from definition the existing state (processes and structures) to modelling the target state, the stress being on the defining of business processes and, consequently, on creating appropriate organizational structures. It deals with the supposition that an organizational structure is a function of business processes, which, however, are limited by the availability of the basic elements (objects) on the lowest level of articulation of the system. Based on these findings, the article presents a model of a non-hierarchical (lateral) dynamic process organization.
