Noise in dwellings, produced by building installations, could frequently be of great importance, especially in the cases when the engine room is located directly beside dwellings. Sound is ...transmitted partly as structure borne sound and partly as airborne sound. The way of sound transmission affect in the great extend the decision about the necessary steps for noise control measures, so it is of great importance to know which of this two ways of sound transmission predominates. According to the methodology, described in this article, it is possible to find out the contribution of these two ways of sound transmission in the overall sound transmission process.
