The paper provides a subject assessment based on a detailed inspection of structural elements and on-site and laboratory investigations. The following tests and measurements were carried out on site: ...the degree of carbonation of the concrete, the thickness of the protective layers of concrete over the reinforcement, the corrosion of the reinforcement, the strength of the concrete by the method of rebound hammer and the bond strength of the existing protective coatings. In the laboratory, the following tests were carried out: the structure and homogeneity of the concrete, the density, the compressive strength and the content of chloride ions at different depths of concrete. Guidelines for the repair and protection of reinforced concrete structural elements of the tower are given in the conclusion.
