  • Strategies for stress management and well-being of employees in educational organizations
Treven, Sonja ; Šarotar Žižek, Simona ; Treven, Urška, 1982-
The European Agency for Health and Safety at Work states that stress within organization is the second most frequent trouble and affects as many as 22 % of employees from EU (2005). And the number of ... people suffering from stress-related conditions caused or made worse by work is likely to increase. Loss of health due to stress constitutes neither the biggest nor the only cost in the organizations. Mistakes and/or false decisions, which employees make under the effect of stress, cost even more than loss of their health and well-being. Therefore, it is necessary to think carefully what to do to prevent stress as well as to improve well-being in employees. In order to solve this problem, various stress management and well-being strategies can be developed in the organizations. In the paper some of them that are advisable to be used in educational organizations are discussed.
