    Althrough small, Slovenia must be considered as a progressive European country in transition. The article discusses most important reform steps after the firts democatical elections in 1990. In this ... area Slovenia started in a good position, since some reforms had already started in the pre-transition period. In spite of this, systemic changes profe to be a very demanding task for economic policy. Authors discuss developments and the state of affairs, primarily in the fields of privatization, fiscal and monetary reforms.
