  • Optimization of realistic steel frames by a modified SUMT method

    In the last two decades a substantial progress has been made in the development of various structural optimization techniques. When we tried to use some of these techniques in our optimization ... problem, it has turned out that they either can not solve our problem or they behave unpredictably. For this reason we have modified the algorithm of SUMT (Sequential Unconstrained Minimization Technique), which gave us better results than the original version. This article presents the modified version of SUMT algorithm
