    Welzer-Družovec, Tatjana ; Verneli, Lija Emmelin ; Zorič-Venuti, Metka
We are a part of information society in which information and communication technology is coming closer and closer to people who are not experts in information and communication technology even more, ... sometimes they have even avery low level of general education. Independent to these facts they are members of information society that has to fulfil their needs. Available solutions have to be user friendly and they have to take into account also theintercultural dialog which is important especially in multicultural societies. In the near past, only big societies with a lot of immigrants have been mostly described as multicultural societies, but nowadays with increased mobility also small societies are more and more multicultural and international. With internationalization and mobility, we are pushed to take care also about the multicultural education. This do not necessarily means obligation to have in the curriculum lectures about cross cultural communications or that we have to cover in the curriculum topics close to multiculturalism, but first of all it means , that our partners in the educational process (either teachers either students) are (could) coming from different cultural (sometimes also language) environments. This can influence theirs way of understanding education and curriculum itself, as well as methods, expectations, duties and other activities in the educational process.Even more, this can influence also their understanding of expert topics also in the case that we have to do with the technical sciences. To avoid lack of understanding or even unpleasantnesses we have to be aware aboutthe importance of culture in the society and especial in the information society in which mobility and multiculturalism (interculturalism) are already part of our every day life, independent to our awareness.
