The model system used in our research work was esterification of oleic acid with oley alcohol catalysed by immobilized lipase from Rhizomucor miehei. The reaction media were supercritical carbon ...dioxide, n-butane and a mixture of n-butane-n-propane. The reactions were performed in a high-pressure batch stirred tank reactor (HP BSTR) and in a continuoulsy operated reactor (HP COR). The influences of various reaction parameters on reaction rates and on the final conversion were studied.
