Požari su čovječanstvu poznati od njegovog nastanka. Ranije pripisivani nadnaravnim moćima, danas sve više uzrokovani ljudskim faktorom, predstavljaju kriznu situaciju od koje strahuju svi. Veliki ...materijalni gubici, strah, nemogućnost normalnog funkcioniranja i ljudske žrtve su sastavni dio svakog većeg požara. Proaktivno djelovanje ne može u potpunosti spriječiti požare te se sve više usmjeravaju radnje na reaktivno djelovanje. Gašenje iz zraka je u dosta situacija presudno, tako da se požar u potpunosti ugasi ili se usmjeri u pravcu da zemaljske snage mogu uspješno ugasiti požar. Federacija Bosne i Hercegovine teži formirati svoju jedinicu za gašenje požara iz zraka, što je složen proces koji na kraju daje velike prednosti. Formiranje jedinice i odabir optimalnog zrakoplova su opisani u radu.
Wildfires have been known to mankind since its inception. Formerly attributed to supernatural powers, today increasingly caused by the human factor, they represent a crisis situation that everyone fears. Great material losses, fear, inability to function normally and human casualties are an integral part of any major wildfire outbreak. Proactive action cannot entirely prevent wildfires, and actions are increasingly focused on reactive action. Aerial firefighting is crucial in many situations so that the fire is thoroughly extinguished or managed in such way that ground forces can successfully suppress the fire. Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is striving to form its own aerial firefighting unit, a complex process that ultimately offers great benefits. The formation of such unit and the selection of the optimal aircraft are described in the paper.
Air traffic operates on the basis of a number of international regulations, ordinances, intended to unify legal regulations and rules of conduct and procedures. For that reason, the European ...Commission is acting in this area with the aim of unification through its regulations. One of such regulations regarding flight control service providers is the CIR Regulation (EU) 2020/469 - ATS.OR.460 Background communication and aural environment recording. This regulation is quite specific and is considered sensitive from a privacy perspective. The analysis of this regulation, i.e. its advantages and disadvantages, as well as the implementation method are the topic of the paper.
Locating and transporting the injured can be done in several ways and, certainly, the most common form is road transport. However, locating the injured person and transporting them would be easy if ...all the accidents happened on paved roads or in cities. Air accidents, accidents in nature, on water, and similar accidents are characterized by their inaccessibility. In response to such situations, a type of aviation developed known as intervention aviation. For this specific research, two questionnaires were composed which are correlated and have a common goal - to possibly justify the deployment of the emergency helicopter medical service and define the possible institutional organization, as well as the most consequential obstacles for its formation. Considering this is a multidisciplinary study, various methods were used for this research, but the basic method is to survey two groups of respondents. Two survey questionnaires were composed, one of which is intended for medical staff or staff directly or indirectly involved in the health system, while the other is intended for potential funders, users, institutions under which the service would operate, the academic and professional community.

Aircraft Accidents Investigation Commission determined the causes and made recommendations. However, years after the first one, the second investigation was conducted with the aim of discovering a potential alternative cause that had not been detacted earlier. The scientific study analyzes and compares two reports and re-examines the possibilities of alternative cause of the accident, primarly the act of unlawful interference caused by an explosive device.

This paper presents a somewhat specific topic of aviation accidents. Although statistically the safest mode of transportation, air traffic is still not immune to the accident. Today, the causes of ...accidents are diverse, but this paper has given special attention to those caused by explosive devices. History unfortunately offers numerous examples of aviation accidents with the explosives as the primary cause of such accidents and several examples are presented in this paper. The examples are described in detail and divided so as to describe the accidents caused by explosive devices aboard as well as projectiles fired from the ground. The analysis of such accidents is quite specific as it brings together experts from criminalistics, criminology, forensics, ballistics, medicine and other related sciences, and uses techniques from their respected branches.This paper individually presents what are the basic indicators, during accident investigation, pointing to an explosive device or projectile as the major cause of an accident.
Each air crash entails an analysis of the plane crash with the aim of detecting the cause of the accident. Air traffic has long since become global and this feature is also characterized by air ...accidents. Unfortunately they happen in all parts of the world. Once an aircraft crash occurs and the crash site is detected, an investigation begins. Arriving at the scene and analysing it can initially mean a lot to continue the investigation. The paper will describe the basic procedures and techniques of investigation of the air crash site.
AIM To provide new insights in treatment of colitis and ischemia and reperfusion in rats using stable gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157. METHODS Medication BPC ...157,L-NAME,L-arginine(alone/combined),saline was bath at the blood deprived colon segment. During reperfusion,medication was BPC 157 or saline. We recorded(USB microscope camera) vessel presentation through next 15 min of ischemic colitis(ICrats) or reperfusion(removed ligations)(IC + RL-rats);oxidative stress as MDA(increased(IC-and IC + RLrats)) and NO levels(decreased(IC-rats);increased(IC + RL-rats)) in colon tissue. IC + OB-rats IC-rats had additional colon obstruction(OB) for 3 d(IC + OBrats),then received BPC 157 bath. RESULTS Commonly,in colon segment(25 mm,2 ligations on left colic artery and vein,3 arcade vessels within ligated segment),in IC-,IC + RL-,IC + OB-rats,BPC 157(10 μg/kg) bath(1 m L/rat) increased vessel presentation,inside/outside arcade interconnections quickly reappeared,mucosal folds were preserved and the pale areas were small and markedly reduced. BPC 157 counteracted worsening effects induced by L-NAME(5 mg) and L-arginine(100 mg). MDA-and NO-levels were normal in BPC 157 treated IC-rats and IC + RLrats. In addition,on day 10,BPC 157-treated IC + OBrats presented almost completely spared mucosa with very small pale areas and no gross mucosal defects;the treated colon segment was of normal diameter,and only small adhesions were present.CONCLUSION BPC 157 is a fundamental treatment that quickly restores blood supply to the ischemically injured area and rapidly activates collaterals. This effect involves the NO system.
With the current development plan, Mostar Airport has initiated a series of renovation and modernization initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, increasing traffic throughput and ...improving maintenance standards. This strategic approach is based on adherence to newly enacted legislative prerequisites, specialized education, and innovative security algorithms. Specific airport solutions from scientific research projects were confirmed by professionals and specialists through the Intelligent Systems Course at the Electrical Engineering Department of the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences and promoted as confirmed optimization algorithms in practice at airports. This paper presents the effects of scientific research on determining the state of intensity of airport unit lights, which were applied in the rationalization of the specific projects on the section of the airport light system at Mostar Airport. The planned replacement of one section of the existing edge lights of the airport taxiways by installing new ones, based on empirical confirmation, led to the decision for revitalization, which was also used for the creation of operational maintenance procedures.
Central to the concept of the “cognitive map” is that it confers behavioral flexibility, allowing animals to take efficient detours, exploit shortcuts, and avoid alluring, but unhelpful, paths. The ...neural underpinnings of such naturalistic and flexible behavior remain unclear. In two neuroimaging experiments, we tested human participants on their ability to navigate to a set of goal locations in a virtual desert island riven by lava, which occasionally spread to block selected paths (necessitating detours) or receded to open new paths (affording real shortcuts or false shortcuts to be avoided). Detours activated a network of frontal regions compared with shortcuts. Activity in the right dorsolateral PFC specifically increased when participants encountered tempting false shortcuts that led along suboptimal paths that needed to be differentiated from real shortcuts. We also report modulation in event-related fields and theta power in these situations, providing insight to the temporal evolution of response to encountering detours and shortcuts. These results help inform current models as to how the brain supports navigation and planning in dynamic environments.
