The purpose of the paper is to show how technology can be used to make attractive the learning of a foreign language. Social media posts about vocabulary in various foreign languages, for instance, ...as well as short conversational phrases, could be used to replace the traditional drill types of exercises. Videos that are present could be used to replace the traditional listening exercises. The social media posts could be used as additional material to what is used during class. It is assumed that social media is part of students’ lifestyle, and that learning foreign languages is adapted to modern life.
The purpose of this paper is to look at the ways the Liberalist ideology undergoes various changes, due to the changes occurring in the world at a geopolitical level. These changes are due to the ...destabilization brought about by various events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, then by the war between Russia and Ukraine. The advantages promised by the Liberal democracies lose various aspects due to current restrictions. One of the advantages of the liberal democracy was freedom of expression, which was visible all over the Internet. However, with the war going on, various Internet sites can be placed under interdiction in certain countries, so as not to influence public opinion. The role of the Internet in politics is beyond dispute. However, many alternative channels can promote alternative opinions, opposed to the mainstream trends. At the same time, information can become distorted due to this and biased, since it is presented only from certain perspectives. The paper will present the context of today’s world from a political point of view and analyse its consequences over the use of the Internet, until not so long ago a medium of pure freedom of action and expression. The ethics of freedom of expression on the Internet is a subject of current concern, and it can be analysed in strong connection with the practice of politics. The changing ideological features of liberalism will also be analysed.

The paper will show that, during the times of British Romanticism, liberalism and nationalism coincided. The context of these times will be analysed in parallel with the Populist ideology nowadays to which it bears certain resemblances. Last, but not least, the issue of whether there is ideology or not in an apparent wish to do away with ideology in the call of the Romantic poets will be researched.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the most recent running marathons in Bucharest to see whether they are part of a political agenda or not, and if yes, what are the reasons for this. Is this a ...way of allowing people to bond together, and to take part in charity? Is this part of the way media imposes its agenda on people, or vice-versa? Is it a way of political elites to control the masses and make them take part in welfare activities? The paper will take into account the hypothesis of sports and welfare holding communities together.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze Graham Swifts short story Hinges, which will be carried out considering several perspectives. The perspectives will gain contour based on the dialogue Swift ...establishes with his readers, as he suggests that words carry out meanings that deeply resonate with the emotions of the characters. Words never leave us without an emotional response, which is, by extension, what Swift expects of his readers, and what dialogism and reader response approaches suggest. How we can communicate honestly is a derived topic, and words are part of this type of communication. What is more, the fact that Annie thinks about reading a poem at her fathers funeral service leads us to think about the role of poetry in our lives, as it offers us the opportunity to sympathize with the poetic personas emotions.
In his poem The Bookmark, Swift suggests that imagination is a way to take a distance from oneself. “Memory and longing amounting to the same”, Swift claims in his poem We Both Know (240). In both ...poems, the poetic persona needs to put together different parts of their personality to feel complete. This reminds us of the individuation process described by Carl Jung. The title We Both Know suggests a dialogue with the poetic persona’s own self. By unifying past and present incidents and aspects of personality, the poetic persona comes to a better understanding of himself. Swift’s poems remind of a therapeutic process.
The purpose of this paper is to analyse the short story Irinas Hat by Chinese writer Tie Ning, through focusing on the strength of the visual images and their power of suggesting, indirectly, various ...thoughts which the readers may get as a result of the dialogue with the text, in a reader-response approach manner. The power of the visual element in this Chinese short story is used as an equivalent of the figurative language in Western short stories. The visual element is not unrelated to psychological issues and the inner world of the characters. The visual elements are so powerful that they are, just like the language of gestures, able to hint towards various messages. The communication style of Western and Asian cultures will also be related to either primacy of the visual or of the figurative language.
