Using the snowball sampling method, the software was used to collect data from Pakistani supply chain (SC) specialists; Results: According to this study’s conclusions, robust information and inventory management using digital platforms and SC traceability depend greatly on transparency; Conclusions: Even though investing in digital platforms is a complex process including multiple internal and external parties, this study will be helpful for the decision-makers who make such decisions. The paper identifies research gaps and presents the potential for more research while also increasing awareness of digital platforms, traceability, and transparency in the SC system. There is a shortage of empirical evidence on how digital platforms and SCT lead to robust information and EIM through the mediation association of transparency, notwithstanding the abundance of research conducted on SCT and transparency.

Considering the importance of social media platforms and digital modes of marketing, it is considered especially significant for small firms to integrate these platforms into their business strategies in order to improve performance. Methods: Based on this aim, this study collected data from 363 owners/managers of SMEs in Pakistan. Structural equation modeling is used to check the hypothesized model of the study. Results: The results show that compatibility, owner/manager support, employee IT skills, financial cost, government policies, and social influence significantly affect adoption of digital marketing by SMEs in Pakistan. Conclusions: Furthermore, digital marketing also positively affects SME performance. This paper discusses the study’s findings as well as managerial and academic implications, including its limitations and future research avenues.

Unemployment, particularly youth unemployment, is a big issue that countries are facing globally. It has been a major concern for many countries like Pakistan. In this research, we develop an ...empirical study on investigating the determinants affecting youth unemployment in Pakistan. This study observes the youth unemployment and the variety of determinants that were identified as political instability, lack of investment, backwardness of agriculture sector, and overpopulation. This study discussed that young people aged (15-24) have been largely affected by the existing recession. This is for the reason that the present youth group is quite big, the longer-term viewpoint for youth unemployment is relatively great and there is a sturdy case for policymakers currently to tackle these problems that the present group is having in finding access to work. It also discusses the need for sufficient employment environment, policy examining, and assessment of the reasons to assist in providing more advanced jobs for youth. The results show that political instability, lack of investment, backwardness of agriculture sector, and overpopulation significantly affect youth unemployment.

This study is about determining various factors affecting commercial ...banks systematic risk in Pakistan. Sample included in the study consisted of twelve commercial banks listed in PSX (Pakistan Stock Exchange), these banks hold 81.3% market share of customer deposits. Data was collected from 2010 to 2016. The systematic risk for this study was calculated through stock beta (SB) and value at risk (VaR). To determine systematic risk the independent variables used are liquidity, firm size, asset quality, firm growth, return on assets, business mix, operating efficiency and loan growth. The result shows that liquidity, asset quality, return on assets and firm size have significant impact on systematic risk of banks in Pakistan.

Corporate social responsibility, business ethics and sustainability – often bracketed under responsible management education (RME) – are topics that are increasingly adopted by universities and ...business schools across the globe. However, one region where our knowledge regarding the extent of RME is still limited is Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Bringing together a team of scholars (currently or formerly) based throughout the region, we were able to conduct the largest survey to date of RME practices in the CEE region, covering 13 countries. Our findings suggest that, at a declarative level, RME is very much present at CEE universities and business schools, in particular in terms of teaching. However, a pro-RME rhetoric is not necessarily backed-up with substance; in particular, a lack of financial resources was identified as the major barrier to greater engagement with RME practices. We also observed a gap between commitment to RME in teaching versus in research, which could be a potential source of concern as teaching should be informed by research; otherwise faculty remain dependent on imported teaching materials. We contribute to strengthening the RME agenda in management education by discussing the implications of our findings for individual faculty, business school leaders, governments and international associations of management education.
•We conducted the largest survey of responsible management education in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to date, undertaken by a team of 20 researchers who mostly are (or were at the time of research) based in the region.•RME is very much present at CEE universities and business schools, in particular in terms of teaching, as 77% of our respondents state that their institution has at least one course on an RME topic on offer.•However, the pro-RME rhetoric is not necessarily backed-up with substance; in particular, a lack of financial resources was identified as the major barrier to greater engagement with RME practices.•We also observed a gap between extensive commitment to RME in teaching versus lesser engagement in research, which might leave CEE universities and business schools dependent on imported teaching materials.
