This article analyzes the effectiveness of various beta coefficient modifications in forecasting on the Russian stock market. Objective: To test the hypothesis of the superiority of modified beta ...coefficients in forecast accuracy. Methods: Calculating and comparing the stock returns of ten companies that play a key role in the Russian economy based on three beta coefficient modifications: classic, Monkhouse, and two beta. The criteria were used for verifying sample homogeneity in order to test the hypothesis that modified beta coefficients produce more accurate forecasting. Results: The analysis showed that, in most cases, none of the three models obtained relevant results for the Russian companies. None of the modifications tested can be recognized with high confidence as more accurate than traditional beta coefficients. Conclusions: In the contemporary Russian stock market, the CAPM does not allow one to produce satisfactory forecasts on stock returns.
Youth, as a stage of a person's life path, is the most intense period in terms of age transitions. Despite the presence of many transitions, most researchers identify several basic age transitions. ...The current stage of development of society is characterized by the complication, lengthening, increasing variability and risks of liminality (incompleteness) of age transitions. The time characteristics of their commission are changing. The temporal component of the features of secondary socialization remains poorly understood, which increases the risks of inefficiency of youth support and assistance programs. In this article, based on the conducted research, the temporal specificity of age transitions of modern youth is analyzed. The study was conducted on a sample of 484 people aged 18 to 40 years. Multistage selection.the time characteristics of their commission. The questionnaire method. The results obtained allow us to conclude that there is a general "delay" in leaving childhood. The duration of the period of youth itself is highly likely to stretch over the entire period of maturity. The risks of liminality of basic transitions to maturity have been identified. In the opinion of young respondents about the optimal time for making specific transitions, both the reproduction of previously formed norms remains (the connection of sexual debut with adulthood, entry into the labor market with financial independence), and the consolidation of established practices is planned (the temporary gap between sexual debut and marriage, the formation of one's own family and the birth of a child).

We experimentally study the occurrence of pattern formation during the slot-die coating of low-viscosity nearly Newtonian liquids onto Polyethylenterephthalat (PET)-substrates. In particular, it is ...demonstrated that with increase of the coating speed a homogeneous coating becomes unstable with respect to periodic stripe patterns. Thereby, depending on the liquid viscosity, the stripes can be oriented parallel or perpendicular with respect to the coating direction. Mixed states do also occur. The spatial period of perpendicular parallel stripes increases decrease with the coating speed. The dependence of the effect on various control parameters is investigated. Finally, a simple theoretical model based on the hydrodynamics of thin films of partially wetting liquids is analyzed. Comparing the results to the experiments, conclusions are drawn regarding the acting instability and pattern formation mechanisms.
