Laser joining with wire filler material and mechanical seam tracing system Abstract The paper describes the principle of mechanical seam tracking system in the laser welding and laser brazing processes, using a wire as a mechanical sensor. The construction and control system of station with disk laser and robot are presented. The influence of laser welding and brazing parameters on the seam tracking in lap joints upto 2 mm thickness is obtained.
