A biodegradable amphiphilic triblock copolymer of poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(l-lactide)-b-poly(l-glutamic acid) (PEG-b-PLLA-b-PLGA) was obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of poly(ethylene ...glycol)-b-poly(l-lactide)-b-poly(γ-benzyl-l-glutamic acid) (PEG-b-PLLA-b-PBLGA) synthesized by the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of N-carboxyanhydride of γ-benzyl-l-glutamate (BLG-NCA) with amino-terminated MPEG-b-PLLA-NH2 as a macroinitiator. MPEG-b-PLLA-NH2 converted from MPEG-b-PLLA-OH first reacted with tert-Butoxycarbonyl-l-phenylalanine (Phe-NBOC) and dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and then deprotected the tert-butoxycarbonyl group. MPEG-b-PLLA-OH was prepared by ROP of l-lactide with monomethoxy poly(ethylene glycol) in the presence of stannous octoate. The triblock copolymer and its diblock precursors were characterized by 1H NMR, FTIR, GPC and DSA (drop shape analysis) measurements. The lengths of each block polymers could be tailored by molecular design and the ratios of feeding monomers. The triblock polymer PEG-b-PLLA-b-PLGA containing carboxyl groups showed obviously improved hydrophilic properties and could be a good potential candidate as a drug delivery carrier.
The study of deep-drawing dual-phase steel for usage in car outer panels was researched in a laboratory setting. SEM, XRD and tensile tests were used to characterise the microstructures, mechanical ...properties and to determine the texture. The results indicated that the texture of dual-phase steel during hot rolling, cold rolling and annealing is inherited. The texture of cold-rolled sheet mainly consists of relatively strong α-fibre texture and weak γ-fibre texture, and the {223} orientation is identified as the stable orientation. Annealing at 860°C strengthens the γ-fibre texture and weakens the α-fibre texture. The gap of the density in {111} orientation and {111} orientation in the γ-fibre texture is small in dual-phase steel, which improves the earing behaviour in deep drawing. The tensile strength, elongation and plastic strain ratio (r value) of the dual-phase steel were 440 MPa, more than 35%, and 1·4, respectively, which met the requirement of high-strength interstitial-free steel, and moreover, the texture was similar to that of interstitial-free steel.

We demonstrate that the idea of quantum control can be generalized to construct the exact many-body coherent state (MBCS) in a trapped Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) of
N
atoms. Such a MBCS ...possesses the form of the single-particle coherent state, which does not deform in propagation and is stable for a repulsive BEC. The results suggest an experimental scheme for resonantly generating and coherently controlling the MBCSs.

The biological chemistry would be responsible for the meat quality. This study tried to investigate the transcript expression profile and explain the characteristics of differentially expressed genes ...between the Wujin and Landrace pigs. The results showed that 526 differentially expressed genes were found by comparing the transcript expression profile of muscle tissue between Wujin and Landrace pigs. Among them, 335 genes showed up-regulations and 191 genes showed down-regulations in Wujin pigs compared with the Landrace pigs. Gene ontology (GO) analysis indicated that the differentially expressed genes were clustered into three groups involving in protein synthesis, energy metabolism and immune response. Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis found that these differentially expressed genes participated in protein synthesis metabolism, energy metabolism and immune response pathway. The Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) analysis of protein function and protein domains function also confirmed that differentially expressed genes belonged to protein synthesis, energy metabolism and immune response. Genes related protein synthesis metabolism pathway in Landrace was higher than in Wujin pigs. However, differentially expressed genes related energy metabolism and immune response was up-regulated in Wujin pigs compared with Landrace pigs. Quantitative real-time RT-PCR on selected genes was used to confirm the results from the microarray. These suggested that the genes related to protein synthesis, energy metabolism and immune response would contribute to the growth performance, meat quality as well as anti-disease capacity.

Abstract
There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like
...XYZ
states at BESIII and
B
factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related
X
(1835) meson state at BESIII, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons.
We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESIII during the remaining operation period of BEPCII. This survey will help in the optimization of the data-taking plan over the coming years, and provides physics motivation for the possible upgrade of BEPCII to higher luminosity.
Methionine synthase (MTR) plays a crucial role in maintaining homeostasis of intracellular methionine, folate, and homocysteine, and its activity correlates with DNA methylation in many mammalian ...tissues. Our previous genomewide association study identified that 1 SNP located in the gene was associated with several wool production and quality traits in Chinese Merino. To confirm the potential involvement of the gene in sheep wool production and quality traits, we performed sheep tissue expression profiling, SNP detection, and association analysis with sheep wool production and quality traits. The semiquantitative reverse transcription PCR analysis showed that the gene was differentially expressed in skin from Merino and Kazak sheep. The sequencing analysis identified a total of 13 SNP in the gene from Chinese Merino sheep. Comparison of the allele frequencies revealed that these 13 identified SNP were significantly different among the 6 tested Chinese Merino strains ( < 0.001). Linkage disequilibrium analysis showed that SNP 3 to 11 were strongly linked in a single haplotype block in the tested population. Association analysis showed that SNP 2 to 11 were significantly associated with the average wool fiber diameter and the fineness SD and that SNP 4 to 11 were significantly associated with the CV of fiber diameter trait ( < 0.05). Single nucleotide polymorphism 2 and SNP 5 to 12 were weakly associated with wool crimp. Similarly, the haplotypes derived from these 13 identified SNP were also significantly associated with the average wool fiber diameter, fineness SD, and the CV of fiber diameter ( < 0.05). Our results suggest that is a candidate gene for sheep wool production and quality traits, and the identified SNP might be used in sheep breeding.

For an atomic Bose-Hubbard dimer quantum control via multiphoton processes have been investigated widely. We here explore how to manipulate the many-body quantum states via single-photon resonance ...by treating the periodic driving as a weak perturbation. The transition probabilities up to second-order approximation are given as functions of the driving parameters, which are considerable only for the single-photon resonance case. Due to some transition matrix elements vanishing, the first-order quantum transition obeys a selection rule. The non-forbidden transitions involve states of different entanglement entropies and all (part) of the forbidden transitions relate to the entropy balances between two states for odd (even) number of particles. The results provide a new route for manipulating many-body quantum states and entanglement entropies, and controlling the atomic tunnelings of the Bose-Hubbard dimer.
Th17 cells have emerged as an important mediator in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. However, recent studies suggest a potential impact of Th17 cells on tumor. The current study was designed to ...investigate the possible involvement of Th17 cells in gastric cancer. Compared with healthy volunteers, patients with gastric cancer had a higher proportion of Th17 cells in peripheral blood. Notably, the increased prevalence of Th17 cells was associated with clinical stage. In addition, increased populations of Th17 cells were present in tumor-draining lymph nodes with advanced disease. Furthermore, the mRNA expression levels of Th17-related factors (IL-17, IL-23p19, and RORC) in tumor tissues and the serum concentrations of IL-17 and IL-23 cytokines were significantly increased in patients with advanced gastric cancer. The results indicate that Th17 cells may contribute to gastric cancer pathogenesis.
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) can lead to the disruption of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis in neurons and induce ER stress. Transmembrane protein 2 (TMEM2) may regulate ER stress through the ...p38/ERK signaling pathway, independent of the classic unfolded protein response (UPR) pathway. The present study examined the expression of TMEM2 following TBI in a rat model, in an aim to determine whether the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway is controlled by TMEM2/cd44 to mitigate secondary brain injury. For this purpose, 89 Sprague-Dawley rats were used to establish the model of TBI, and TMEM2 siRNA was used to silence TMEM2. Western blot analysis, immunofluorescence, TUNEL assay and Fluoro-Jade C staining, the wet-dry method and behavioral scoring were used for analyses. The results revealed that TMEM2 was activated following TBI in rats. The silencing of TMEM2 resulted in a significant increase in the levels of p38 and ERK (components of MAPK signaling), while brain edema, neuronal apoptosis and degeneration were significantly aggravated. TBI increased TMEM2/CD44-aggravated brain edema and neurological impairment, possibly by regulating ERK and p38 signaling. TMEM2/CD44 may thus be a target for the prevention and control of TBI.
