This article explores how smart leadership contributes to developing inclusive, equitable, and sustainable smart cities amidst the backdrop of rapid urbanization and technological advancement. Smart ...leadership, as articulated in this article, embodies a holistic and forward-looking approach that prioritizes the well-being and inclusion of residents as a primary concern. In line with this approach, technological innovation is harmoniously embodied alongside an unwavering commitment to social justice, sustainability, and long-term planning, enabling cities that are not only technologically advanced, but also more sustainable, equitable and enriched for all residents. Central to this visionary leadership is a profound recognition of equality and representation in city governance. The principles of inclusive leadership require a leadership structure that reflects the diversity of the population, ensuring that the voices of all communities are integral to decision-making processes. Smart leaders actively advocate for the problems and aspirations of each segment of society, promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment among residents, thereby strengthening the city’s commitment to the principles of social cohesion and equal opportunities. In addition, sound leadership recognizes the key challenge of the digital divide, which can exacerbate disparities in urban landscapes. This article highlights the fundamental importance of digital access in ensuring all residents’ full participation in modern society, economics, and governance. Smart leaders introduce policies and initiatives to bridge the digital divide and ensure equal access to digital tools and information for every resident, regardless of socioeconomic background. This proactive approach promotes digital inclusion and lays the foundation for seamless smart technology integration in the city, ultimately improving its residents’ overall quality of life. Through a systematic analysis of articles, this inquiry observes the metamorphosis of cities into centers of advanced technological implementation and economic dynamism. The article proposes the author’s Smart City Leadership Activity Model, which contains several key principles of smart leadership in the context of equitable, sensible, and strategic smart city growth, development, and innovation.
The issue of firearm-related injuries, deaths and crime in the United States is of particular relevance. Every year, about 32,000 lives are lost as a result of firearm-related incidents, including ...self-inflicted injuries. Other 74,000 people suffer non-fatal gunshot wounds. Addressing this multi-faceted problem is possible through a comprehensive and integrated approach that encompasses public health initiatives, law enforcement efforts, and security measures. In the context of solving this problem, the concepts of “community-oriented policing”, “problem-oriented policing”, “broken windows theory”, “smart city social sustainability initiative” (multi-system improvement and meeting the needs of marginalised residents), “feedback methodology”, etc. are thoroughly considered. The author proposes the strategic deployment of mini-police stations in areas with a high crime rate as proper centres of police visibility and a deterrent to criminals. To realise this task, it is necessary to integrate the latest approaches to Smart Urban Development with innovative urban planning technologies that would increase the influence of law enforcement agencies in the process of protecting public health and safety in cities. In particular, the article proposes the following for implementation: identifying crime hotspots by means of advanced geographic information systems, applying machine learning algorithms to predict future crime trends, using advanced real-time surveillance technologies and firearms detection systems, applying geospatial analysis to optimise patrol routes, dynamically adjusting patrol routes depending on real-time data analytics, deploying mobile command centres. As a result, law enforcement agencies can effectively communicate to potential criminals that their actions will not go unnoticed. They may achieve significant success in improving the overall quality of life of residents in such areas. Also, they will create safer communities, and reduce the number of incidents involving the use of firearms.

Research shows that harassment blossoms in careers and organizations where men dominate the majority of all management positions and women have such limited representation within the organization. In March of 2020, the United States activated nationwide pandemic response protocols due to the swift spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019, also known as COVID-19. Amidst the domestic response, ...urgency surrounded the need to build collective awareness of the signs, symptoms, and preventive measures of the virus. As the virus spread and historically marginalized communities were disproportionately impacted with rates of infection, the need to explore the presence of disparities in health communication, health education, and personal health literacy surfaced. The research contained within this study examines the root cause of the gap in health literacy for communities of color and presents actionable next steps to increase positive healthcare outcomes for all.
Many universities require end of course evaluations for all courses taught as tool for academic accreditation purposes. The reality is that often many academic departments either do not do anything ...or have no idea what to do when evaluations continue to be poor. As a result, students have fought back against this process to create their own on-line rating program, Rate My Professor.com, which allows students to give other students insights into who is a quality professor and who is not. This paper explores this use of mock teaching simulations, which are also called Micro-teaching approaches, as a quality management tool to improve the way students are taught in Technology Management, Cybersecurity, and Computer Science degree and certificate programs.
