The data on the possibility of obtaining transition metal ferrocyanides, which are highly selective compounds with respect to cesium, in polysaccharide matrices (cellulose, chitin, chitosan) are ...systematized and generalized. Based on the electron microscopy data, it has been found that the distribution of the sorption active component (nickel ferrocyanide) in the chitosan matrix is fairly uniform. The crystallite sizes calculated from X-ray powder diffraction data are significantly higher for Zn–K chitosan/ferrocyanide sorbent as compared to Ni–K and Cu–K chitosan/ferrocyanide sorbents. The sorption properties of the obtained materials under dynamic conditions for the purification of solutions from arsenic are compared. It is shown that the preliminary modification of the carbon fiber with chitosan by ionic gelation using sulfate ion and then by adsorption with molybdate ion leads to the production of an efficient sorption material that provides the purification of 1600 column volumes of an arsenic solution at an initial concentration of 105 μg L
–1
to a maximum permissible concentration of 50 μg L
–1
. The calculation methods show that the gel ability of sulfate and molybdate ions is approximately the same.

The obtained samples have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Sorption properties of the composites toward As(V) have been studied. The relationships between sorption properties, structure, Mn valence, and manganese oxide surface morphology have been discussed.

An analysis of clinical and social characteristics of patients aged 40 years and older with primary diagnosis of schizophrenia (F 20-21) in a psychiatric hospital.
We studied 114 medical records of ...patients aged 40 and over who were admitted to a psychiatric hospital for a two-year period (2018-2019) with a first-time diagnosis of schizophrenia (F 20-21) based on the results of inpatient examination and treatment.
The analysis shows that 90% of patients were aged 40-59 years, 59.6% of them were women. In every third patient (33.3%), clinical signs of psychosis were observed for five or more years before hospitalization and diagnosis, and in 14.9% for more than 10 years, the average duration of psychosis before diagnosis was 5.1 years. Markers of psychosis were non-specific factors of family adaptation, working capacity, and substance use, which revealed relationships with gender characteristics and age of diagnosis of psychosis. Better adaptation parameters correlated with the female sex and later diagnosis of schizophrenia, lower indicators were more typical for the male sex and earlier diagnosis.
Signs of increasing social maladjustment should be alarming to the patient's relatives, as well as social and medical services. In addition, the timely diagnosis of psychosis requires psychoeducation of the population, training of social workers and primary health care professionals.

An increased content of Sc in the sample of tails from the 3
rd
KMPP’s tailings dump was shown. Determination of low concentrations of the element is possible using the INAA with a radionuclide neutron source based on Cf-252. The threshold for determining Sc was 1.6 g/t. The INAA analytical method used in the work also made it possible to determine the contents of La, Eu, Sm and In in the samples.

Cl and KCl and in the presence of polyelectrolyte of chitosan with oxidation of the formed precipitates by oxygen in air. The obtained composites are characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and cyclic volt-amperometry techniques. The mechanism of film formation at the surface of the carbon fiber and the electrochemical properties of the composites are discussed.
