In this research article, two methods suitable for remote monitoring and control of battery management system (BMS), respectively are proposed. The methods use controller area network (CAN) ...communication and internet of things (IoT) device for cloud-based analysis and management. The proposed method has several advantages over traditional onboard BMS systems, such as remote monitoring and control, scalability, analytics, and flexibility. Additionally, it facilitate various features like optimized battery performance, reduce maintenance costs, and improve safety and reliability in electric vehicles and other applications. With the necessary hardware and software components, the proposed methods are tested, and the results are presented.
This article discusses a new online calibration technology for DC energy meters in electric vehicles. The technology includes a charging module, a load module, a test module, a toolbox, and some ...other software. By using this technology, we can quickly and accurately calibrate DC energy meters. The virtual battery management system can adjust the type, charging time, and other charging parameters of various batteries to meet the needs of the battery, and can transmit this information to the battery module for remote measurement. In addition, the system can also collect the measurement results of the DC power meter of the DC charger and compare them with the measurement results of the standard power meter for accurate measurement. By using this technology, we can quickly and accurately test the DC energy meters of off-vehicle DC chargers, thereby ensuring the safety and accuracy of electrical energy.
Data Acquisition (DAQ) is a vital process used in various fields including engineering, medicine, and scientific research. In the automotive industry, DAQ systems are essential for vehicle testing ...and validation. This paper addresses the limitations of traditional DAQs by developing a low-cost, robust DAQ system using LabVIEW, a powerful graphical programming language. The objective of this project is to design and implement a cost-effective and flexible DAQ system that meets specific application needs. The system focuses on voltage probing, Controller Area Network(CAN) communication archi-tecture, load bank configurations, and a LabVIEW interface. The methodology involves selecting appropriate peripherals, establishing Microcontroller Unit(MCU)-LabVIEW communication, designing the voltage probe mechanism, setting up CAN communication, incorporating load bank control, and integrating all features into a LabVIEW dashboard. The developed custom DAQ system demonstrated satisfactory performance, with minor voltage reading errors (0.22%) and a small per-centage of frame loss (1.95%) in CAN communication. The system's usefulness has been proved, highlighting its potential as a valuable tool for testing and validating applications in the automobile industry.

For PC programmers, they don't need to consider the expansion board's instruction to manipulate the measurement and control system of relays. So that we can make the main board and the expand board as a whole system.
With the development of pulse power technology, the nanosecond pulse power supply (NSPPS) is widely used in the area of scientific research, military, industry, medicine, environmental protection, ...material processing and so on. Different applications of the NSPPS ask for different functions, such as the control modes selectable, work modes selectable, output voltage adjustable, pulse frequency adjustable, and even the pulse width of the output voltage is adjustable. In this paper, a control system of a NSPPS which used for the scientific research is designed. The control system is designed based on the DSP controller and the CAN bus communications. The program of the DSP and the computer software is compiled to realize the remote control by CAN bus communications of the NSPPS. The output pulse voltage can be regulated from 0 to 40 kV and the frequency of the pulse can be regulated from 0 to 2 kHz by using the control system. By selecting the different modes of the control system, the NSPPS can be controlled by computer software or the keyboard and the NSPPS can work as continuous mode or as intermittent mode. In order to prevent the electromagnetic interference caused by the discharging of NSPPS, long distance optical fiber communication control system is used and measures to enhance the electromagnetic compatibility of the control system is adopt. Experiments of the NSPPS which controlled by the control system is carried on and the results proved that the functions are realized and the performance is good.
At present, the role and influence of the power system on all walks of life in society is increasingly high, and the reliability of the power supply is particularly important, so to crack the problem ...of power outages caused by maintenance of the non-maintenance section and to achieve mutual supply of lines. In this paper, by establishing a distribution network based on the ring network structure, the use of the ring network cabinet equipment in the ring network operation mode load switch division and closure operation to achieve the purpose of transferring power supply. The use of network double CAN (controller area network) communication makes the same line non-stop without maintenance sections, ensuring the continuity of power supply, effectively improving power supply reliability and minimising the impact of power distribution equipment faults and maintenance outages. The traditional power change operation method is carried out by manual hand cranking of the load switch, with a high risk factor for the operation of powered rotating operations and great safety hazards for the operator, which has not fully adapted to the needs of modern grid construction and development. This paper deals with a ring switch tool that can automatically close and close load switches, which can effectively reduce labour intensity, protect personal safety and ensure safe and stable operation of the power grid.
Integrated vehicle dynamics control systems require real-time communication among their components to improve performance and process efficiency. This communication relies on the use of sensor data, ...hardware interfaces, transmission protocols, and control strategies, which all have an impact on the system's reliability. However, as the number of functionalized electronic control units (ECUs) and wiring systems increases, advanced control systems encounter complex functional and cybersecurity issues. To mitigate this complexity, the automotive industry widely employs the Controller Area Network (CAN) communication bus. Nevertheless, the inherent vulnerabilities of CAN and the rich interfaces with external environments increase the systems' susceptibility to soft errors caused by uncertainty factors such as process changes. Therefore, detecting abnormalities in automotive CAN communication is crucial.This paper introduces a machine learning (ML)-based anomaly detection framework to identify anomalies through CAN messages, extracting key features and employing ML models for predictive analysis. It also uses Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) for trusted ML computation in anomaly detection. The study provides a comparative analysis of various ML algorithms, highlighting the effectiveness of Deep Neural Networks in identifying anomalies within both synthetic and real Hyundai CAN data for a wheel speed control system, showcasing the framework's capability to enhance system reliability and security.

The ESP32 microcontroller serves as the central processing unit, facilitating seamless communication among system components. CAN communication protocols enable real-time data exchange between the microcontroller and the mine detector, while WiFi control allows operators to remotely monitor and control rover movements. Through comparative analysis with existing systems, the novelty of this approach is underscored, particularly in achieving higher accuracy rates and ensuring operator safety. Rigorous testing validates the system's performance, demonstrating superior accuracy in landmine detection compared to conventional methods. This innovative system represents a significant advancement in landmine detection technology, promising to revolutionize clearance efforts and contribute to safer environments in conflict-affected regions globally.
Aiming at the problem of low real-time cooperative communication between indoor intelligent operating vehicle vision system, chassis system and manipulator grasping system, multi-subsystem ...cooperative communication is studied based on CAN bus communication protocol. Based on STM32, three subsystems prototypes of indoor intelligent operating vehicle are built, and the grasping task of indoor intelligent operating vehicle based on machine vision is simulated. The experimental results show that the subsystem communication based on CAN bus has good real-time and reliability, and can provide good theoretical basis and experimental support for the subsequent chassis physical construction.
