For almost a century, music on the radio has been an important part of Danish music culture. Tunes for All? Music on Danish Radio presents the many ways music and radio have co-existed and interacted ...from the 1920s until today. Music radio is a complex network of sounds, technologies and people, and the book spans programmes and channels, presenters and listeners, music genres and programme genres, stakeholders and different interests primarily in relation to the all-dominant national broadcasting institution, Danmarks Radio. In 10 chapters, the authors address this network with an interest in programme content and production from various media and music perspectives in order to contribute to analytical and theoretical knowledge about music on the radio. The many cases cover chart shows, morning radio, live ensembles, automatic music programming and sports radio.
Since the reform of Upper Secondary School in 2005 in Denmark, genre writing has been mandatory in the L1 subject. In the predefined genres, argumentative reasoning, textual analysis and disciplinary ...knowledge are given high priority, whereas creative or narrative reasoning and writing are not part of the curriculum. In this article, the writer development of a student participant will be investigated, focusing on how narrative nonetheless becomes present in his assignments and how he negotiates the predefined genres he is supposed to write in the L1 subject. The main focus of this study is to explore how on the one hand narrative is a resource for writer development and disciplinary knowledge and on the other hand becomes part of the student's writer identity and identification with an exploratory student position. The empirical data consists of interviews and assignments, collected through the student's 3 years of upper secondary education. In conclusion, it is argued that narratives should be part of the L1 curriculum, as narratives have the potential to provide more holistic writer development and to contribute to disciplinary knowledge.
Vi undersöker med hjälp av korpusstudier hur opersonlig passiv används i de fastlandsskandinaviska språken. Danska och norska använder både perifrastisk bli(ve)-passiv och morfologisk s-passiv, ...ungefär i samma utsträckning, medan bli-passiv är mycket ovanlig i svenska, där den bara används i specifika konstruktioner. Resultaten relateras till de parametrar angående kongruens och ordföljd som Holmberg (2002) föreslår. Vi finner att Holmbergs parametervärden stämmer någorlunda bra för bokmål, där ordföljden particip direkt objekt (PCP DO) är helt dominerande, medan danska dialekter även tillåter ordföljden DO PCP. Enligt Holmbergs analys borde svenska och nynorska uppvisa stora likheter, men vi finner att de skiljer sig beträffande ordföljd. I svenska dominerar ordningen DO PCP medan den omarkerade ordningen i nynorska är PCP DO, precis som i bokmål.

Pakistani migrant families in Denmark find themselves in a specific ethno-national, post-9/11 environment where Muslim immigrants are subjected to processes of non-recognition, exclusion and ...securitization. This ethnographic study explores how, why, and at what costs notions of relatedness, identity, and belonging are being renegotiated within local families and transnational kinship networks. Each entry point concerns the destructive-productive constitution of family life, where neglected responsibilities, obligations, and trust lead not only to broken relationships, but also, and inevitably, to the innovative creation of new ones. By connecting the micro-politics of the migrant family with the macro-politics of the nation state and global conjunctures in general, the book argues that securitization and suspicion-launched in the name of "integration"-escalate internal community dynamics and processes of family upheaval in unpredicted ways.
Folkestyrets fæstning, foræret af Frederik 7. i faderlig forståelse, fred og fordragelighed. Sådan hylder vi Grundloven, og vi taler om frisind, danskhed og demokrati. Men faktisk fandt Grundloven ...fra 1849 sin form midt i europæisk borgerkrig og revolution, hvor de gamle monarkier faldt på stribe. Folkelig blev Grundloven kun gennem politisk import fra det store udland. Et rent dansk produkt ville ikke have været nær så demokratisk. Og selv om demokrat og demokrati hurtigt blev modeord herhjemme, var det nye folkestyre mest for de få. Var man fruentimmer eller folkehold, fremmed eller fallent, fattig eller forbryder – eller bare et fjols – kunne man stadig godt glemme alt om politisk indflydelse.
