The purpose of this study is to outline the nature of empirical base on transformational leadership in Turkey. The present study included a total of 109 graduate theses conducted on school ...principals’ transformational leadership behaviors between 2000 and 2019 and released in the Council of Higher Education’s (CoHE) database. Results revealed that an important body of research investigated the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Authors’ suggestions to policymakers and practitioners were often about enabling further in-service training activities and providing school principals with various opportunities to study for a master's degree. Suggestions from quantitative studies echoed the need for conducting relevant studies on different samples and expanding qualitative studies to inquiry into transformational leadership. Results, therefore, mirrored the fact that the empirical base on transformational leadership is lacking in terms of mediator and moderator effects of various variables along with the antecedents and results of transformational leadership.
The fight against plagiarism in educational organizations has has acquired a superfluous character. The originality level of a text has been chosen as a quality indicator of bachelor's thesis, while ...the completeness, logic and literacy of the exposition were relegated to a secondary position. In many cases, this is unreasonable, especially when it comes to specialties in which unambiguous language and citations of legislative and regulatory acts are required. Most of graduates' efforts are aimed at finding various linguistic methods that increase the uniqueness level of the paper. And this affects knowledge. Practical work also requires specialists who are ready to execute the already developed standards and not to interpret them. Thus, we need a change in the quality assessment approach to scientific papers. The article outlines the main provisions and proposals for the introduction of new approaches.
The study focused on the representativeness of the sample sizes generated for populations under study in survey studies in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Extension. The study was carried out ...in Nigeria. A total of 4561 completed survey theses submitted to the Departments of Agricultural Education and Agricultural Extension in federal universities in Nigeria for the award of various postgraduate degrees between 2008 and 2018 were studied. The objectives of the study were to report the effect of sample size on the confidence level and margin of error of the generated data and to determine the frequently cited formula for generating sample sizes and their implications. The most frequently cited method for generating sample sizes was reported. Findings further revealed the problems associated with using nonstatistical methods to generate sample sizes. The study recommended the use of mathematically proven formula in determining sample sizes in survey studies to generate statistically dependable, reliable and generalizable data.

In addition, it was determined that mostly mixed methods were preferred as the research method, university students as sample group, interview form/questions as data collection tool, and "t test" in data analysis. At the end of the research, suggestions were made for researchers and for practitioners.
The field of research in physical geography relates to subjects such as place place-shaping, climatic events, soil formation, vegetation development, the water cycle, and the nature and use of ...natural resources including underground mining processes. In order for humans to survive and facilitate their daily lives, they must have sufficient knowledge about many physical events taking place on planet Earth. In physical geographical education, various scientific research projects are carried out to bring rigour to t he subject and the teaching of related concepts. Such projects include postgraduate thesis studies. In this research, an examination of the status and general trends for postgraduate theses occur in relation to physical geography education in Turkey. The current study is a mixed methods design and an evaluation of the theses occur through a document review. The theses are retrieved from the database of the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education Institution. A descriptive analysis and bibliometric study on the theses aims to reveal the progress in physical geography education. Results from the research show the most common type of graduate thesis includes writing about the research subject, university, year of admission, institute, writing language, sample, study group/sample size, method/research model, data collection tool, data analysis technique/analysis method, research subject and the subject of physical geography, and the level of instruction/target audience. In response to the less frequently covered topics and methods, suggestions are made for future research and investigation to occur at the level of postgraduate studies.
Cilj. Originalnost/vrijednost.Prvi put razmotrena je i napravljena analiza studentskih radova koji su objavljeni na osnovi teme i istraživanja iz diplomskih radova.
Today, engineers make efforts for post-graduate programs far more than before. The main reasons can be increasing awareness of firms about education, decreasing job opportunities for undergraduate ...degrees, the increasing demand for being an academician or scholarship opportunities by government. Some firms want their post-graduate student engineers to solve the firm’s problems in their master or doctoral thesis as case studies. In this regard industrial engineering is a field that adjusts almost with every sector because of its multidisciplinary nature. Thus, there are many post-graduate theses written in this area. The aim of this paper is to analyze 2,122 post-graduate theses (master & doctoral) which are carried out in the department of industrial engineering in Turkish universities. The data is obtained from the website of Council of Higher Education of Turkey. The time period is determined as 2010-2017 and only the 1780 “permission” theses are analyzed in order to reach keywords for solution approaches and keywords analysis. Nine different indicators are used to analyze the thesis such as; university status, page numbers, language, keywords etc. As a result, this study shows how the theses are clustered according to different indicators and which topics are studied more frequently in recent years. The inference of the paper is important because the results give an insight about the road map of industrial engineering thesis completed in 56 different Turkish universities.
Since it was founded in 1972, the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI‐Arc) in Los Angeles has been one of a small cohort of peers at the forefront of progressive schools of ...architecture. This is an environment where everything is questioned and nothing taken for granted – a fecund, inventive and highly productive breeding ground for new architectures. Graduate Programs Chair Elena Manferdini proffers some of its recent graduate schemes and outlines its pedagogic philosophy.
This research study aims to evaluate the graduate theses and articles conducted on the concept of instructional leadership over the period between 2002 and 2017 in Turkey by means of methodological ...and statistical analysis techniques. In the study, which is configured by using the case study design as one of the qualitative research methods, the related theses are obtained from the database of the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center in Turkey, whereas the related articles are provided through article archives of the National Academic Network and Google Scholar website. The data collected via the academic publication evaluation form are evaluated by frequency analysis using. In the study, 104 postgraduate theses and 35 articles on instructional leadership are conducted, many of which using scales as data collection tools. Lack of due diligence in validity and reliability studies, selection of mostly teachers for sampling, and usage of descriptive t-test and one-way ANOVA techniques in data analyses are detected. As a result, it is shown that similar studies using similar datasets and the same data collection tools have been carried out on instructional leadership. Mixed research and scale development studies in which qualitative and quantitative methods can be used collocation.
Graduate thesis is an important form to assess students' comprehensive ability. But the questionnaires carried among 36 supervisors and 167 students in the School of Foreign Languages of University ...of Jinan showed that a number of problems existed in the process and result of thesis writing. The discrepancies in teachers' and students' beliefs and the problems in the graduate thesis writing course are the key causes of the low quality of students' thesis. The author of this article reformed the graduate thesis writing course by doubling teaching hours and adding new contents, namely, the appreciation of academic papers published in journals of high prestige, the revision of former graduate theses, and the writing of academic papers. Results showed that students improved significantly in collecting and using materials as well as language and format.
