To appraise the major research outputs of agronomic crops and cropping systems and to direct the future research priorities of Agronomy Department of post-graduate (PG) program of Institute of ...Agriculture and Animal Sciences (IAAS), a rigorous review was accomplished on about two decadal (2000-2018) student’s thesis research works. The review revealed that the agronomic researches at IAAS from 2000 to 2012 were concentrated mostly in on-station farm of Rampur, Chitwan and found their focus on 11 food grain crops with five major themes viz. varietal evaluation, crop management, soil nutrient and weeds management, and crop simulation modeling. With the shifting of IAAS PG program from Rampur to Kirtipur in 2013, the major agronomic researches were found to be concentrated in on-farm stations due to transitional movement of IAAS to Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal. A total of 115 agronomic studies were conducted on various crops, of which 92 were on cereals, 8 on legumes, oilseed and minor cereals including potato. There were records of 10 studies on rice-wheat and 3 studies on maize-based systems. The huge gaps between the potential and farmers' field yield and between the potential and research station yields for rice, maize and wheat crops suggested a great scope to raise yields of cereals by improved agronomical researches on varieties evaluation, crop and nutrient management and weed management. Simulation modeling study predicted that the varieties of rice and maize adopted at present could sustain the yields only for recent few years and needed for introduction of new climate resilient varieties, then after. Innovative and new researches on eco-region suited on-farm trails with variety identification, improved crop husbandry and soil nutrient management, improved weed and water management and on agro-meteorology, conservation agriculture, climate change adaptation and crop simulation modeling are advised as future research frontiers to uplift the productivity and reduce yield gaps of major food crops and to strengthen the academics of post-graduate research in near future.
Since it was founded in 1972, the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI‐Arc) in Los Angeles has been one of a small cohort of peers at the forefront of progressive schools of ...architecture. This is an environment where everything is questioned and nothing taken for granted – a fecund, inventive and highly productive breeding ground for new architectures. Graduate Programs Chair Elena Manferdini proffers some of its recent graduate schemes and outlines its pedagogic philosophy.
This research study aims to evaluate the graduate theses and articles conducted on the concept of instructional leadership over the period between 2002 and 2017 in Turkey by means of methodological ...and statistical analysis techniques. In the study, which is configured by using the case study design as one of the qualitative research methods, the related theses are obtained from the database of the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center in Turkey, whereas the related articles are provided through article archives of the National Academic Network and Google Scholar website. The data collected via the academic publication evaluation form are evaluated by frequency analysis using. In the study, 104 postgraduate theses and 35 articles on instructional leadership are conducted, many of which using scales as data collection tools. Lack of due diligence in validity and reliability studies, selection of mostly teachers for sampling, and usage of descriptive t-test and one-way ANOVA techniques in data analyses are detected. As a result, it is shown that similar studies using similar datasets and the same data collection tools have been carried out on instructional leadership. Mixed research and scale development studies in which qualitative and quantitative methods can be used collocation.
Graduate thesis is an important form to assess students' comprehensive ability. But the questionnaires carried among 36 supervisors and 167 students in the School of Foreign Languages of University ...of Jinan showed that a number of problems existed in the process and result of thesis writing. The discrepancies in teachers' and students' beliefs and the problems in the graduate thesis writing course are the key causes of the low quality of students' thesis. The author of this article reformed the graduate thesis writing course by doubling teaching hours and adding new contents, namely, the appreciation of academic papers published in journals of high prestige, the revision of former graduate theses, and the writing of academic papers. Results showed that students improved significantly in collecting and using materials as well as language and format.
In fiscal 2004, Hiroshima Institute of Technology introduced the questionnaire for students to evaluate advice and guidance by professors on their graduation thesis, placement, and postgraduate ...studies. In this paper, questionnaire results for fiscal 2004 and 2005 are reported. The data shows the improvement of professors' teaching methods in fiscal 2005 compared to fiscal 2004. This questionnaire was performed from the standpoint of satisfaction of students, while professors endeavor to improve students' ability as well as their satisfaction. The questionnaire results will now be examined among all faculties, and the contents and method for the questionnaire should be improved aiming at higher quality education, based on the accumulated data from the continued observation.

Book Chapter
This chapter uncovers the “scattered seeds of a new scholarship” in the form of four graduate theses on Virginia Woolf written by young women outside of the UK between 1930 and 1944. These include ...theses by Elizabeth McKee Eddy (1930), Ruth Gruber (1932), Nuri Mass (1942), and Deborah Newton (1944). The studies of these four women shared originality, boldness, and a diverse approach. Newton liked the short fiction; Gruber the political theory; Mass the lyrical abstraction, new rhythms, and mysticism; and Eddy the new form of inventing language itself and sentence structure. Each made a real and true encounter with Woolf; they did not hold back from their identity as women encountering a women writer. All four defended Woolf against the charges of not creating characters, and of being a fragile aesthete, more a critic than a novelist. They saw her as a political visionary as well as a creator, imbued with new philosophical thinking in the novel form—an originator.
Kvalitativno gledajući prevladavaju stručni i
