Der Artikel gibt einen Einblick in den aktuellen Arbeitsstand eines Provenienzforschungsprojekts am Musikwissenschaftlichen Institut der Universität zu Köln. Ziele des zweijährigen Projekts sind ...einerseits eine systematische Analyse des Rara-Bestands der Institutsbibliothek und die Identifikation von kritischen Zugängen zwischen 1933-1945. Darüber hinaus steht das damalige Personal des Instituts sowie dessen vielfältige Verflechtungen in Strukturen der Universität und des Wissenschaftsbetriebs, der Stadt, des Staates, der NSDAP und des Kulturlebens im Fokus des Interesses. Am Ende des Projekts soll neben neuen Erkenntnissen über die Provenienzen einzelner Objekte auch ein besseres Verständnis der lokalen, regionalen und überregionalen Netzwerke und Kontakte stehen, mittels derer die Bibliothek des Musikwissenschaftlichen Instituts in der NS-Zeit aufgebaut bzw. erweitert wurde.

Congenital hemoglobin disorders typically present as hemolytic anemia, but there are also numerous reports of thrombotic complications in these diseases, suggesting an associated hypercoagulative ...state. In hemoglobin Köln, the most common type of unstable hemoglobinopathy worldwide, there have not been many reports of such thrombotic phenomena. We herein describe the case of a patient with hemoglobin Köln demonstrating acute cerebral infarction. His father, who also had hemolytic anemia, presumably hemoglobin Köln, had a history of cerebral infarction. This case suggests that hemoglobin Köln, among other congenital hemoglobin disorders, may be a precipitating factor of thrombotic events.
Pulse oximetry measures the peripheral oxy-haemoglobin saturation (SpO2) which is a surrogate marker for arterial oxy-haemoglobin saturation (SaO2).
SaO2 estimation is subjected to both oximeter ...proper functioning, patient characteristicsand haemoglobin disturbances.
A 82-year-old man goes to the emergency with cough, dyspnoea and fever. He has haemolytic anaemia. His kids also have anaemia. Examination showed
fine crackles in pulmonary auscultation of the lower two thirds of the right lung and splenomegaly. SpO2 was 80% (FiO2 21%). Arterial blood gas analysis:
pH 7.514; PaCO2 23.4 mmHg; PaO2 43.2 mmHg; Hb 13.0 g/dL. Chest X-ray suggested an infectious process. He was admitted to the hospital with
the diagnosis of pneumonia. During hospitalization we verify discrepancy between SpO2 and SaO2; haemolytic anaemia. The patient had a respiratory
improvement and was discharged to external consult, dying months later.
To clarify the discrepancy between SpO2 and SaO2 results; confirm the hereditary nature and identify the haemolytic anaemia, we conducted a retrospective
familiar study based on the patient’s clinical processes.
Three children were identified with anaemia. Two of the children have known their anaemia for 35 years - studied in the context of respiratory infections
with haemolytic crisis due to Lepore haemoglobinopathy and β-thalassemia, respectively. The patient previously diagnosed with Lepore haemoglobinopathy,
currently undergoing hospital anaemia study, was diagnosed with Köln Hb.
The discrepancy between SpO2 and SaO2 in association with a familiar haemolytic anaemia resulted in the diagnosis of autosomal dominant Köln haemoglobinopathy.
The advances in the means of diagnosis enabled the probable diagnosis of 19 family members distributed over 4 generations

Gerade für die Studiengänge der Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft ist eine kontinuierliche Überprüfung und Aktualisierung der Studieninhalte angesichts der hohen Entwicklungsdynamik der ...digitalen Transformation und ihrer Auswirkungen auf die bibliothekarische Praxis von entscheidender Wichtigkeit. Der Beitrag stellt die Ausgangslage, den Reformprozess und das Ergebnis der Studienreform des berufsbegleitenden Masterstudiengangs „Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft“ (MALIS) der TH Köln im Jahr 2020 dar. Im Rahmen dieses Prozesses wurde externe Expertise aus Wissenschaft und Praxis in einem konzentrierten mehrstufigen Prozess einbezogen. Das Ergebnis ist ein Studiengang, der seine Absolvent*innen mit hohem Praxisbezug auf die dynamischen Anforderungen des bibliotheks- und informationswissenschaftlichen Berufsfeldes durch neue Module wie u.a. das Grundlagenmoduls Library Carpentry und das Querschnittsmodul Recht vorbereitet. Im Sommersemester 2022 werden die ersten Studierenden zu diesem reformierten MALIS-Studiengang zugelassen werden.
This study aims to understand the role of open innovation in the projects implemented in the city of Köln – Germany –, and to observe in which dimensions it has a superior impact. The initiatives ...developed in the city that result in innovative and sustainable solutions to improve the citizens' life quality are presented. We used a qualitative methodological approach, with the use of the single case study method of the aforementioned city. For data collection and analysis, the semi-structured interview was used as an instrument, and we proceeded to the documentary analysis of web pages, reports and news. The main conclusions are that open innovation influences the implementation of initiatives in different dimensions. The people, mobility and environment dimensions are those where this influence is higher and the government dimension presents a lower influence when compared with the remaining dimensions.
