Artykuł stanowi analizę kategorii siostrzeństwa i sposobów jej funkcjonowania w polskim dyskursie feministycznym. Została ona przeprowadzona w oparciu o artykuły publikowane w mediach, powstałe po X ...Kongresie Kobiet (Łódź, 16–17.06.2018). Jeden z nich przedstawia sprawę pracownicy ochrony i zaniedbań ze strony organizatorek Kongresu, jakie zaistniały w związku z jej pracą. Historia ta stała się ważnym punktem odniesienia dla kolejnych tekstów. Unaoczniła różne stanowiska i systemy wartości organizujące współczesne myślenie o siostrzeństwie, które przedstawiam w artykule poprzez trzy rodzaje narracji, jakie wyłoniły się z analizy wskazanych tekstów: narrację różnicy, narrację solidarności ponad podziałami oraz narrację o siostrzeństwie jako walce.
Scholars of the U.S. House disagree over the importance of political parties in organizing the legislative process. On the one hand, non-partisan theories stress how congressional organization serves ...members' non-partisan goals. On the other hand, partisan theories argue that the House is organized to serve the collective interests of the majority party. This book advances our partisan theory and presents a series of empirical tests of that theory's predictions (pitted against others). It considers why procedural cartels form, arguing that agenda power is naturally subject to cartelization in busy legislatures. It argues that the majority party has cartelized agenda power in the U.S. House since the adoption of Reed's rules in 1890. The evidence demonstrates that the majority party seizes agenda control at nearly every stage of the legislative process in order to prevent bills that the party dislikes from reaching the floor.
Kotarbinski’s analysis of psychological sentences constitutes one of the main elements of his scientific programme known as reism in a semantic version. The program aimed to eliminate all expressions ...and grammatical forms that reify relations, properties, events and contents of mental acts from natural language. In order to eliminate the contents of mental acts and alleged intentional objects from semantics and ontology, Kotarbiński invented an original paraphrase of utterances of psychological sentences reducing them to pairs of logically independent utterances. In this paper, I briefly present Frege’s and Russell’s solutions of the problem of intentional contexts comprising psychological sentences; I also indicate the philosophical inspirations of Kotarbiński’s reism. The analysis of psychological sentences proposed by Kotarbiński not only solves the semantic problem of the lack of extensional substitutivity in psychological sentences, but also sheds additional light on his reistic ontology. In the end, I briefly compare Kotarbiński’s solution of psychological sentences with Donald Davidson’s apparently similar paratactic analysis and indicate that the differences between the two are the consequence of different versions of monism and different approaches to the problem of truth.
Rozważając kwestie związane z walką o prawa polityczne dla kobiet, nie można lekceważyć niektórych najważniejszych czynników, decydujących o poziomie uczestnictwa kobiet w życiu politycznym. Jeśli ...chodzi o dyskusję naukową na temat obecności kobiet w szeroko rozumianej polityce, najczęściej przywoływanymi faktorami wpływającymi na ten stan rzeczy są czynniki biologiczne, społeczne, ideologiczne, strukturalne, kulturowe, religijne czy ekonomiczne. Minęło 100 lat, a Polki, mimo iż stanowią nieco ponad połowę polskiego społeczeństwa, nadal mają niezbyt wielką reprezentację w parlamencie, w biznesie w wielu przypadkach ich pensje są niższe niż mężczyzn na podobnych stanowiskach, a rola kobiety w przestrzeni publicznej – ze szczególnym naciskiem na sferę polityczną – jest nadal niższa niż rola mężczyzny. Celem niniejszego tekstu jest analiza przesłanek utworzenia i funkcjonowania Kongresu Kobiet Polskich w ciągu ostatnich dziesięciu lat.

Peristiwa Lampung 1989 adalah peristiwa lokal yang sangat terkait dengan masalah politik tingkat nasional, terutama menyangkut hubungan antara kalangan Islam dengan Pemerintah Orde Baru yang sempat ...memburuk setelah Presiden Soeharto mengajukan gagasan menerapkan Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Gagasan ini disampaikan secara berturut-turut pada acara KOngres Nasional Pramuka 12 April 1976, Perinagtan Hari Pramuka ke-XV 14 Agustus 1976 dan Pidato Kenegaraan 16 Agustus 1976.
Concepts have always been one of the most important objects of philosophical investigations. A special contribution to the theory of conceptual analysis was made by the representatives of the ...Lvov–Warsaw School, representing the Polish branch of analytic philosophy. Philosophical research in this school was governed by the postulate of clarity of thought and speech. Analysis and improvement of concepts and the existing philosophical language as the carriers of these concepts naturally expressed the methodological program proposed by the founder of the School, Kazimierz Twardowski. In the article, the procedure of reconstructing concepts is presented as it was commonly applied in Twardowski’s School. Although the differences between individual school members were sometimes significant (reflected e.g. in the psychologism–antipsychologism opposition), one may indicate some common elements of conceptual research. These are, first of all, the categorial element and the constructive element, because of which the procedure in question is called “reconstruction”. Two examples of the reconstruction of concepts are examined closer: Łukasiewicz’s work on the concept of cause and Tarski’s results concerning the concept of truth.

Tulisan ini mengambil topik tentang wacana pemikiran dan gerakan Pan Islamisme di Indonesia pada perempat pertama abad ke-20. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah bagaimana konsepsi Pan Islamisme menurut ...kaum muslim Indonesia dan bagaimana bentuk aksi-aksi Pan Islamisme yang pernah mereka lakukan, baik dalam negeri maupun di luar negeri.
Metode yang dipakai dalam penulisan tulisan ini adalah metode sejarah. Metode ini meliputi empat tahapan, yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi.
Pemikiran dan gerakan Pan Islamisme di Indonesia dilandasi oleh kesadaran kaum muslim untuk mewujudkan persatuan dan kesatuan umat Islam. Di dalam negeri, keinginan itu diupayakan dalam Kongres Al-Islam Hindia Timur. Dalam kongres ini berkumpul sejumlah organisasi massa Islam. Mereka melakukan dialog keagamaan guna mencari akar-akar persamaan di antara mereka, dan memahami perbedaan masing-masing dalam soal-soal agama yang bersifat cabang. Sementara itu, di luar negeri, kaum muslim Indonesia merasa perlu melibatkan diri dalam pergerakan khilafah dan persoalan tanah suci Makkah-Madinah yang dibicarakan pada tahun 1926 lewat Kongres Islam Sedunia yang di selenggarakan di Timur Tengah. Keterlibatan mereka dalam persoalan-persoalan Dunia Islam ini sebagai bagian dari usaha kaum muslim Indonesia untuk turut aktif dalam mempersatukan umat Islam sedunia.
Źródła historyczne dotyczące obecnych i dawnych ziem polskich, zgromadzone w zasobach ukraińskich archiwów we Lwowie, pozostają w dużej mierze niespenetrowane. Uwaga ta w szczególności dotyczy ...materiałów odnoszących się do szeroko pojętej historii gospodarczej. Tym sposobem w trakcie kwerend prowadzonych w Centralnym Państwowym Archiwum Historycznym Ukrainy we Lwowie udało się trafić na archiwalia związane z Kongresem Kupiectwa Polskiego w Toruniu, który odbył się w 1933 roku. Toruński zjazd zoganizowano w wyjątkowo trudnym momencie dla polskiego handlu, co było przede wszystkim konsekwencją pogłębiającej się ogólnoświatowej depresji ekonomicznej. Niemniej jego uczestnicy podjęli się próby poprawy kondycji chrześcijańskiego handlu w Polsce. I choć częściowo udało się zrealizować postulaty stawiane na kongresie, to jednak większość problemów kupiectwa polskiego nie została wówczas rozwiązana.
