In this article, the authors present their solutions on the adaptation of an ERP Production module dedicated to assembly lines, with the aim of meeting specific requirements in the process industries ...(chemical, cosmetics, food, pharmaceutics, etc.). Their ideas were validated based on top ERP solution implementation, using its utilities and software modules. There are represented certain elements to the execution of the Production module and also the specific requirements in process industry, from a beneficiary point of view. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution meets the requirements of the packaging phase, requiring a few customizations for the characteristics of production activities and explicit developments related to the process industry. As future developments in the ERP modules, the authors propose in this paper a connection with the Process Control Systems (PCS), highlighting several advantages. The latter record both technological information and business information (information on the consumption of raw materials, packaging, completed production etc.) by monitoring the data generated by production automation equipment, such as: electronic flow meters, electronic scales, sensors and transducers, digital countdown and other specialized devices.
The evolution of information society, globalisation, made great changes concerning the human-computer relationship. Mobile technology gives new perspectives for the administration of enterprises and ...decision making. Microsoft Dynamics NAV is not only a software capable to model the various activities of a firm through the desktop platform, but with a properly developed user interface which is optimised for a mobile device, the possibilities of the use of this ERP software can be broadened with workflows characterised with great distances. In this study I show how a field sales workflow can be modelled and managed by me with the software environment “NAV Anywhere Framework”. The survey gives a closer look at both a suggestible administrative process for an imagined workflow and its technical management on a mobile device. For my development creates specialised and dynamic web pages for a mobile device, it can be accessible from a lot of types of smart phones and tablet computers.
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are often used by companies to automate and enhance their business processes. The capabilities of ERP systems can be described by best-practice reference ...models. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the business process renovation approach with the use of reference models. Although the use of reference models brings many positive effects for business, they are still rarely used in Slovenian small and medium-sized companies. The reasons for this may be found in the reference models themselves as well as in project implementation methodologies. In the article a reference model based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV is suggested. The reference model is designed using upgraded BPMN notation with additional business objects, which help to describe the models in more detail.

Investments in system and information technology applied in a company sometimes do not provide benefits comparing to the cost. Therefore, we propose to PT. Frina Lestari Nusantara to measure the ...economic benefits gained from the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Microsoft Navision) using Information Economics method, so that later on the benefits obtained from the feasibility assessment on the applied Navision can be provided. The methodology used is field research and literature study. The Field research is in form of observations of product selling process, analysis of the data obtained, direct interviews and questionnaire distribution to the relevant sections. The literature study is used to find, collect and study the needed data and information using references from various media and sources. From the results it is concluded that the implementation of Navision application executed so far is pretty decent to be implemented and helps improve the company’s performance.
