Egy képzeletbeli SWOT-analízis minden bizonnyal erosségnek tételezné a közigazgatás hagyományos és megkerülhetetlen funkcióit és adaptációs képességeit, gyengeségnek a merev, az innováció és a megújulás felé gyakran csak nehezen mozdítható, helyenként tole független kényszerpályákkal terhelt belso világát, lehetoségnek a 21. században felgyorsuló digitalizáció, valamint a vele járó mesterséges intelligencia, az automatizmusok és a robotika csatasorba állítását, veszélynek pedig a jól ismert globális folyamatokat, az éghajlatváltozástól kezdve a világjárványokon át a háborús konfliktusokig és geopolitikai változásokig.
Through a unique set of timings, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis of a nursing department was conducted with the staff nurses of a large medical center in late 2019 ...and again in 2022. The intent of the 2019 analysis was bifold, to obtain rich input from nursing staff to apprise the 2020 Nursing Strategic Plan and to inform the hospital-wide core councils and the nursing unit councils on focused project work identified as Weaknesses and Threats. When the pandemic hit, work on strategic planning was paused to manage the unparalleled impact that COVID-19 had on the organization. In 2022, nursing leadership realized they had an opportunity to repeat the SWOT analysis, not only to inform the 2023 Nursing Strategic Plan but also to determine whether the perceptions of staff nurses regarding the SWOT in the nursing department had changed postpandemic. A thematic analysis provided the structure to analyze the perceptions of nurses pre- and postpandemic. This article presents our reflections for nurse leaders to consider when addressing the positive (Strengths/Opportunities) and negative (Weaknesses/Threats) perceptions of nurses in a postpandemic health care environment.
The increasing demand for economic development in the coastal zone is exerting greater pressure on the eco-environment in this region. Therefore, it is imperative to conduct comprehensive research on ...the sustainable development of the eco-environment in coastal areas. Grounded in sustainable development theory and Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), this study assessed sustainable development of Jiaozhou Bay (JZB), China over the period from 2015 to 2019 under multiple pressures applying the Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR) framework. Subsequently, a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis was employed to propose specific countermeasures and recommendations. In terms of weight within the criterion layer, Response (R) and Pressure (P) were assigned higher weights. The comprehensive assessment value Z in the target layer indicated a slight decrease in 2016 followed by a gradual increase that eventually led to stabilization. The comprehensive assessment values of the indicators varied depending on different conditions, implying that higher values would contribute to sustainable development of the eco-environment. Based on a SWOT analysis, strategies for Qingdao were derived from a combination of research findings and future development policy. These strategies include preventing and controlling land and sea pollution, governing reclamation activities, optimizing industrial structure, and strengthening public opinion guidance. This study highlights the application of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods in ICZM, providing specific recommendations based on policy analysis for achieving sustainable development in JZB's eco-environment under multiple pressures.

The article presents the process of organizational and financial changes taking place in the Polish Radio Choir since 2012. The author is looking for an answer to the following question: can the ...Polish system of public support for culture accommodate regular activities of an artistic team as part of an NGO? For the purposes of the article, a SWOT analysis has been carried out among the current staff of the team, which has made it possible to understand the effects of the changes. Purpose – This study aims to identify and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats as well as strategies related to micro, small, and medium enterprises (SME) support in the ...development of the halal industry and the Sharia economy in Indonesia. Methodology – This study used a mixed-method approach in the form of a sequential exploratory design with strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis. Findings – This study highlights the vast number of SMEs and their workforce as significant strengths. However, the lack of digital technology integration among SMEs is a weakness. Opportunities include a large Muslim population and availability of institutions willing to provide loans. However, threats emerge from low awareness among Indonesian Muslims regarding halal products. The proposed strategies include enhancing financing facilities, government subsidy programs, awareness campaigns, ecosystem strengthening, and socialization efforts. Implications – The findings offer practical insights for supporting SMEs, including improving access to financing and increasing awareness among Indonesian Muslims. Socially, the study suggests potential benefits such as fostering economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and promoting the production and consumption of halal products. Overall, this study provides valuable guidance for policymakers and stakeholders interested in enhancing SME support in Indonesia's halal industry and Islamic economy, with implications for economic and social development. Originality – The study's original contribution lies in its comprehensive analysis of SMEs in Indonesia within the context of the halal industry and Islamic economy.
ChatGPT is an AI tool that has sparked debates about its potential implications for education. We used the SWOT analysis framework to outline ChatGPT's strengths and weaknesses and to discuss its ...opportunities for and threats to education. The strengths include using a sophisticated natural language model to generate plausible answers, self-improving capability, and providing personalised and real-time responses. As such, ChatGPT can increase access to information, facilitate personalised and complex learning, and decrease teaching workload, thereby making key processes and tasks more efficient. The weaknesses are a lack of deep understanding, difficulty in evaluating the quality of responses, a risk of bias and discrimination, and a lack of higher-order thinking skills. Threats to education include a lack of understanding of the context, threatening academic integrity, perpetuating discrimination in education, democratising plagiarism, and declining high-order cognitive skills. We provide agenda for educational practice and research in times of ChatGPT.
Sixty-three studies published in the years 1997–2002 are reviewed to assess the effects of workplace diversity on teams and organizations. Four major questions are considered: Which personal ...attributes have diversity researchers studied in recent years? What has been learned about the consequences of diversity for teams and organizations? What has been learned about the role of context in shaping the effects of diversity? How has research addressed the multi-level complexities inherent in the phenomenon of diversity? For each question, we consider the strengths and weaknesses of recent diversity research, point out opportunities for new research, and identify threats to continued advancement. The review concludes by considering practical implications of the accumulated evidence.
O setor florestal em países em desenvolvimento pode contribuir para combater a mudança climática através de negociações financeiras, sendo o mecanismo de REDD+ uma abordagem proeminente. A abordagem ...de REDD+ jurisdicional (J-REDD+) surgiu para países de grandes dimensões como o Brasil, cujas particularidades regionais ou estaduais podem influenciar na dinâmica de implementação do REDD+. Este estudo analisa a implementação do J-REDD+ no Amazonas (AM) de 2005 a 2022. Usando-se análises de documentos oficiais e estudos acadêmicos, uma matriz SWOT foi criada para identificação de forças, fraquezas, oportunidades e ameaças na implementação do J-REDD+. Foi percebido que as forças incluem políticas públicas, combate ao desmatamento, governança, monitoramento e metas de redução do desmatamento. As fraquezas englobam a falta de um plano estadual de REDD+, aumento recente de desmatamento, desafios estratégicos, representatividade limitada de PIPCTs em colegiados e mecanismo de transparência. Externamente, a oportunidade reside em financiamento crescente para projetos. No entanto, as ameaças incluem a falta de financiamento continuado, mudança na constituição de equipes e a descontinuidade dos programas do governo local. Concluiu-se que a implementação do J-REDD+ em ambas as escalas é crucial para que esse mecanismo contribua efetivamente para a mitigação da mudança climática, atendendo às necessidades presentes e futuras.
