The paper discusses the scope of tourist visits in Rogaska Slatina (one of the oldest and the most important tourist places and spas in Slovenia) in connection with of the arrival of different groups ...of tourists by the country of origin. It has been found that the tourist visits all the time depends on the influx of tourists from just a few countries. Changes in tourist flows consequently has major impact on the scope of tourist visits and its characteristics. Throughout the period, the majority of tourists in the resort came from abroad. Period until the end of the 1980s were marked mostly by tourists from other republics of the former Yugoslavia and Austria, the second half of the 1990s and since 2000 with tourists from Italy and after 2010, from the Russian Federation. Tourists from Slovenia were the most important group of tourists only the 1990s, in the period of the greatest crisis in the development of the health resort. //ABSTRACT IN SLOVENE: V prispevku je analiziran obseg turisticnega obiska v Rogaski Slatini v zadnjih sestdesetih letih v povezavi z drzavno pripadnostjo turistov. Ugotovljeno je, da je bil turisticni obisk ves cas bolj ali manj odvisen od prihoda turistov iz le nekaj najpomembnejsih drzav. Spremembe turisticnih tokov so zato posledicno mocno vplivale na njegov obseg in znacilnosti. V celotnem obdobju so vecino turistov v kraju predstavljali tuji turisti. Obdobje do konca 80. let so zaznamovali predvsem turisti iz drugih republik bivse Jugoslavije in Avstrije, drugo polovico 90. let in po letu 2000 iz Italije, po letu 2010 pa iz Ruske federacije. Turisti iz Slovenije so bili najpomembnejsa skupina turistov le v 90. letih, to je v casu najvecje krize v zdraviliscu.
Rogaška Slatina health resort was promoted by many doctors, but their names have been almost or completely forgotten by now. One of those doctors was also Professor Dr. Julius Glax. He worked in ...Rogaška Slatina as a health resort physician and during this time he published numerous articles on the therapeutic effects of Rogaška Slatina mineral water. He emphasized that mineral water treatment proved to have a healing effect in various diseases. He also wrote about different types of Rogaška Slatina mineral springs and represented Rogaška Slatina as an important medical health resort. He also held lectures on these topics in Graz Medical Association and in Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna.
Within the framework of a detailed survey of the algal community in the salt
marshes of the Vojvodina Province (northern Serbia), we found
Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii (Woloszi?ska) Seenayya et ...Subba Raju in water
samples from Slatina Pond near Opovo. This is, de facto, the first finding of
C. raciborskii in Serbia. It is of particular importance given that C.
raciborskii produces cyanotoxins and that available data show that in Serbia
this alga is expanding its range of distribution, notably in carp ponds. The
present paper is concerned with both the general and specific characteristics
of the alga and the specific characteristics of the habitat in which the alga
was found.

The article discusses issues of air quality in the area of Slatina city regarding the pollution index – sulfur dioxide, describing the main characteristics of the polluter, emission sources, and ...especially its evolution in time and space of the concentrations and the annual trend, correlated with causes that may increase or diminish the monthly and annually concentrator’s values. Data was collected and provided by The Environmental Agency of Olt County and The Analysis Laboratory for Evaluation of Emissions of ALRO S.A. Company. During the analyzed period, 1996-2006, there were no average monthly levels in the time and space distribution higher than the maximum allowed concentration, which is of 0,125 mg/m3in 24 hours; also, the annual average values of the index follow a decreasing trend. However, when put together with other urban polluters, the vegetation along with the population of Slatina city is put under discomfort. Towards the end of the article, there are presented conclusions mentioning the main effects over the environment.
The middle Cenomanian–lower Turonian deposits of Ohaba-Ponor section (Southern Carpathians) were studied from biostratigraphic and isotopic points of view. Both the qualitative and semiquantitative ...nannofloral analyses, as well as the stable isotope (δ
13C and δ
18O) data support significant palaeoenvironmental changes in the investigated interval. Two δ
13C positive excursions were recognized: (1) an excursion up to 1.8‰ (PDB) within the middle/late Cenomanian boundary; (2) an excursion up to 2.2‰ (PDB) in the Cenomanian/Turonian boundary interval. The oldest δ
13C positive excursion recorded (placed within the Acanthoceras jukes-brownei/Eucalycoceras pentagonum Ammonite Zone boundary interval, and in the NC11 Calcareous Nannofossil Zone respectively) could be assigned to the middle Cenomanian Event II (MCEII). During the above-mentioned event, significant increase in abundance of
Watznaueria barnesae, followed by successive blooms of
Biscutum constans and
Eprolithus floralis, were observed. The youngest δ
13C positive excursion was identified in the Cenomanian/Turonian boundary interval (in the NC12 and lower part of the NC13 Calcareous Nannofossil Zones). Even the amplitude of this δ
13C positive excursion is lower in the Ohaba-Ponor section, as generally reported, this may represent the regional record of the OAE2. The successive peaks of the nannofossils
Biscutum constans,
Zeugrhabdotus erectus and
Eprolithus floralis indicate episodes of cooler surface water and high fertility, which preceded and lasted the Cenomanian/Turonian boundary event. Additionally, fluctuations of δ
18O values between −2 and −6‰ suggest also cooler conditions within the Cenomanian/Turonian boundary interval.
The Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) was a radical ethnic-nationalist Serbian party, founded on the platform in front of the railway station in Knin on February 17, 1990 and registered in the Register ...of Social Organizations of the Socialist Republic of Croatia on March 6, 1990. The Founding Assembly was attended by seven thousand citizens of Serbian nationality, who gave their support to the program document by acclamation. Academician Jovan Raskovic, a psychiatrist from Sibenik, founded SDS under control of the Serbian State Security Sevice ("SDB"), at that time led by the Hague indictee Jovica Stanisic, a faithful Milosevic follower. SDS had a leading political role in war events in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its members organized the arming of Serbs, supported killing, expelling and other war crimes against non-Serbs in the territory of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. SDS Municipal Committee for the Municipality of Podravska Slatina headed by Milun Karadic organized the arming of Serbs in the area of the Municipality of Podravska Slatina, expressed civil disobedience and blocked the functioning of the Municipal Assembly of Podravska Slatina. After SDS had blocked the function of the Executive Council of the Municipal Assembly of Podravska Slatina, a reaction came from the Justice and Administration Minister Branko Babac. On July 24, 1991 he issued the Order to take special measures in the Municipality of Podravska Slatina, whereupon the Assembly of the Municipality of Podravska Slatina was dissolved and a Commissioner of the Croatian Government was appointed at the same time.

Within the framework of a detailed survey of the algal community in salt marshes of the Vojvodina Province (Northern Serbia), we rather unexpectedly found the blue-green alga Anabaena bergii Ostenf. ...forma minor (Kisselev) Kossinsk. in water samples from Slatina Pond near Opovo. Our finding represents its first record in Serbia. The present paper gives general characteristics of this alga and of the habitat in which it was found. Based on analysis of a large number of works dealing with characteristics and the taxonomic status of the genus Anabaena, the species A. bergii, and its forma minor, it is concluded that there are numerous problems in taxonomy of the given genus, with no consensus among researchers. In light of the available data, the authors retain the name of the species A. bergii, but accept forma minor with some reserve.
U okviru detaljnih istrazivanja slatina Vojvodine koja su provedena 2003, 2004, i 2006. godine, u uzorcima vode iz bare Slatine kod Opova, severna Srbija koji su sakupljeni jula meseca 2006. godine, utvrdjeno je prisustvo alge Anabaena bergii Ostenf. forma minor (Kisselev) Kossinsk. (Cyanoprokaryota). U radu su date opste odlike A. bergii (forma minor). Na osnovu analize svih objavljenih radova koji se odnos e na alge u Srbije, utvrdjeno je da je A. bergii (forma minor) u Srbiji zabelezena po prvi put. Pri tom je njen nalaz iz vise razloga bio neocekivan imajuci u vidu stanista na kojima je ona do sada nalazena u svetu - uobicajeno u planktonu slanih jezera (pa i mora), prevashodno u umerenoj zoni Evroazije. Medjutim, detaljnom analizom fizicko-hemijskih svojstava vode bare Slatine utvrdjene su visoke koncentracije sulfata, kalcijuma, magnezijuma i kalijuma, a posebno su bile vis oke koncentracije hlorida i natrijuma. Posledicno, vrednosti elektroprovodljivosti vode, kao i pH vode, bile su veoma visoke. Prakticno, fizicko-hemijska svojstva vode bare Slatina bila su u znacajnoj meri slicna fizicko-hemijskim svojstvima vode stanista sa kojih je alga primarno opisana, odnos no na kojima je i kasnije nalazena. Na osnovu analize velikog broja radova koji se bave svojstvima i taksonomskim status om roda Anabaena Bory ex Born. & Flah., vrs te A. bergii Ostenf., kao i njene forme minor (Kisselev) Kossinsk., utvrdjeno je da su problemi na nivou taksonomije roda Anabaena veoma brojni i da u svetu ne postoji usaglasenost istrazivaca po tom pitanju. Stoga su autori zadrzali naziv Anabaena bergii, dok se njena forma minor prihvata sa odredjenom rezervom.
Gorca and Slatina cadastral municipalities in Haloze, which is one of the least developed regions in the north-eastern Slovenia, are examples of the several-year lagging behind in economic and ...demographic development. In agriculture, unfavourable relief conditions provided only for intensive wine-growing. Specific proprietorial relationships lead into the development of vineyard-labour relationships which resulted in significant depopulation after 1945 and consequently unfavourable socio-economic structure of both cadastral municipalities and the entire Haloze region.
