The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the undiscussed and yet very interesting issue of fashion and the clothing of senior citizens. The issue is analyzed here in relation to Georg ...Simmel’s concept of fashion and specifically his idea of imitation and distinctiveness inscribed in the fashion system. Simmel seems to indicate that the social order determined by fashion is more often respected by women than by men. Therefore, the issue of fashion and clothing is discussed in relation to the gender of the individual. Age is also important. In her own research among people aged 60 and over (a diagnostic survey and interviews), the author of the article sought answers to the following questions: what do seniors think about the clothing of today’s older people? Do they think they dress fashionably – in the sense of following the spirit of modern times, which promotes youth? What determines the way seniors dress in contemporary Poland? The respondents were aware of a change in how seniors dress today and view the change positively. The fashion behavior of seniors is more often approved by women than by men and by younger seniors rather than older ones.
This article examines methodological problems of religion and education research using theoretical insights by Pierre Bourdieu and applying the methods of analysis of scientific literature and ...documents. Bourdieu perceives education as the most effective mechanism for inciting social change. Education is an important field because of its ability to mobilize capital. The political field and its role are especially important to the field of education: the former has both direct and indirect influence on the latter field by means of a variety of instruments. Teachers, too, perform a vital part in the field of education. The function of schools is to impart knowledge and socialize the pupils, but they only teach certain subjects and socialize the pupils using specific selected methods. This is how the education policy is implemented, which is supported by the approved legal acts that, in turn, inflict symbolic violence on certain hierarchical groups. In order to examine the content and practices of Lithuanian moral education lessons, it is necessary to conduct further qualitative research that would make it possible to determine the interaction between the fields of politics and education as well as the role of this interaction in the acceptance of religious diversity in Lithuania today.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the ancient Roman leisure activity as a theoretical reflection and cultural practice. The methodology of the research is reduced to the usage of historical ...and cultural approach that allows combining diachronic and synchronic methods to the study leisure activity as a polysemantic cultural phenomenon. Scientific Novelty. The topicality of the research is to identify and substantiate the conditions that led to the formation and development in ancient Roman intellectual and entertainment leisure activities, contemplative and active leisure activities, leisure activity as a means of self-development and leisure activity as a mass cultural practice. Conclusions. Leisure activity was perceived as a rest from work, a day dedicated to God, pleasure, safe for moral values (Virgiliy, Georgiki) in Republican Rome. As a result of the conquests in the East and the expansion of Greek culture, the value system of the Romans underwent significant changes, which was clearly manifested in the development of leisure activity in two interrelated “spheres”: spectacular and intellectual. Spectacular otium has become a powerful tool of political impact on masses, a method of mobilization and employment, and consequently reducing the content of leisure activity to “bread and sights”, “money and pleasure”, the gradual loss of the majority the ability to perceive leisure as a means of self-development, self-improvement and cultural creation. For members of the Roman intelligentsia leisure activity is, first of all, the luxury of companionship, intelligent conversation and literature classes. However, for the majority of the population, the Roman borrowing of otium graecum didn’t have an introspective, self-absorbed social character, freed from a sense of moral responsibility, it required only an external, leveled assessment, contrary to the individual and spiritual content of culture.
The works based on narrative products in Turkish folk literature are a cultural memory space. Various facts/values are reflected with the secret power of symbols in folk narratives reflecting the ...socio-cultural texture of the society in which it emerges. Suicide, which is defined as the way one ends his/her own life with his/her own hands for various reasons, and which is defined as killing oneself, is a social phenomenon and occurs in public narratives as well as within the society in which we live. Suicides may be dealt with in two groups in public narratives as those that turn into action/result in death, and those that do not turn into action but remain in the thought, and these are caused by various reasons. Among the causes of suicide, there are love, forced marriage, honor, loyalty, guilty conscience, secret sharing, having an unrecoverable disease, high self-esteem, existential depression, etc. In this study, the causes of suicide were classified in public narratives, and the phenomenon of suicide was discussed in psycho-social terms. By doing so, some things that go wrong within the society and social criticism were noted. It was emphasized that suicide is not a solution and the life is sacred.
The purpose of the article is to identify patterns associated with the transformational processes associated with the change of the verse form in pop music, especially in rock and pop directions. ...This goal is realized in the coverage of the likely influences of socio-cultural factors, and not just purely artistic. The methodology involves the use of an analytical method to illuminate the features of the structure of the couplets, which are present in modern pop music. The use of the comparative method was used to compare the terminology used to refer to the structural sections of the song forms in the domestic and English-American literary studies of art. The scientific novelty is that for the first time the evolution of the purchased form in rock and pop music was studied on the basis of identifying changes in the standards of duration and form of the song, which claims the status of a "hit". Conclusions. Assumptions are made about the possibility of the influence of technological processes, and not only on the individual creative principles of the composer on the duration and form of the chamber vocal work. A promising trend is the introduction of the terminology used in the Anglo-American literature to describe the sections of the song form, namely, the chorus, the bridge, into the domestic art studies discourse.

In recent years; the world has witnessed a major leap in social communication through virtual electronic reality which is capable of blending various cultures and removing social barriers via the ...multiple social communication websites which have immensely affected all societies. Advertising on these social networks has become one of the most effective elements in pivotally changing social and human values of the society, due to its major educational role and wide influence that reach various segments of the society. The easiness of information and experience exchange through social networks has helped in increasing the cultural and intellectual share of the receiver via advertisement messages that convey positive values which contribute in guiding the behaviour of the society members. Social networks advertisement provides two advertisement messages; the first is a direct message that promotes the advertised products and services, the second is an indirect message that convey multiple behaviours, values and life styles which form the positive content that a good advertisement seeks to promote and achieve in the society; making it an additional value to the advertisement. On the other hand, culture is an integral part of the human civilization; human society doesn’t exist without culture and culture can’t exist without a human society; as the relation between both of them is controversial and reciprocal, from here comes the role of sociology of culture in the society, in terms of analysing the nature of relations and connections between the patterns of the cultural and intellectual production of the society; their mechanisms and interaction on all levels of the society members; and the social structure with all its aspects. Therefore; there is a reciprocal effect between the sociology of culture and social networks advertisement; as each affects the other; and the effectiveness of an advertisement is no longer limited in its success in promoting the advertised products and services, but has become associated with its ability to influence the receiving audience; by what it can achieve in terms of altering the level of values, orientations and behaviours; by promoting cultural ideas and values.
