In 2017, the Association Mnemosyne took over the management of the Archeological Park of Mileto. To define the cultural strategies, we used and analyzed the characteristics of the site, one of the ...kind, and the socio-cultural issues identifiable in the territory. The Project of « The City of Ruggero » unfolds in 3 parts:- The management and development of the only medieval archeological Calabrian park;- The access to culture of categories with disadvantaged backgrounds (high levels of student’s dropping out of school, migrants) and disable people;- The setting up of several research projects.
This paper presents some experimentations, which have been conducted in the submerged archeological Park of Baiae, aimed to identify the problems related to the underwater 3D documentation process. ...The first test has been addressed to verify if a dense stereo mapping technique, usually employed in terrestrial and aerial applications, might be employed in critical underwater conditions by assessing the influence of different factors on the results. In the second test, the accuracy of the 3D model obtained through this technique has been evaluated. The third test deals with the geo-localization of the 3D models, conducted by merging the optical and acoustic data, through a multi-resolution bathymetric map of the site as a reference.
The Vulci archeological site was object of interest by the Soprintendenza ai beni culturali dell’Etruria meridionale (Italian government department responsible for southern Etruria’s cultural ...heritage) since the beginning of the 20th century. In 2001, the Ministero dei Beni Culturali (Italian ministry of cultural heritage) along with the local authorities, opened a natural-archeological park. In this area, it lies most of the ancient Etruscan city of Velch (today known by its Latin name, Vulci) including the Osteria Necropolis that is the object of this study. Recently, new archaeological excavations were made and the local authorities needed major geological information about the volcanic lithotypes where the Etruscans used to build their necropolis. The aim of this study is to define the geological and geophysical characteristics of the rock lithotypes present in the Vulci park. For this purpose, a geological map of the area (1:10000) has been realized. Moreover, two different geophysical methods were applied: measurements of magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity tomography. Magnetic susceptibility analyses clearly identify magnetic contrasts between different lithotypes; the characteristics of the pyroclastic flow that originated the Sorano unit 2 and its vertical facies variations are well recorded by this parameter that along with lithostratigraphic observations provides information about the depositional conditions. Two electrical resistivity tomographies were performed, which show the Sorano unit 2 thickness to be of c. 7 m with resistivity values ranging from 200 to 400 Ω·m. This kind of multidisciplinary approach resulted to be suitable to study this type of archaeological sites, revealing that areas characterized by a relevant thickness and wide areal extension of volcanic lithotypes can be a potential site where Etruscans might have excavated their necropolis.
Digital Heritage and Digital Humanities focus on distinct typologies of heritage: tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage (CH) objects and their preservation, education, and research versus the ...application of digital technologies to support research in the humanities. Both allow scholars to go beyond textual sources to integrate digital tools into the humanistic study. This project aims at supporting a new way of experiencing CH in the Serralves Museum and Coa Archeologic Park through more involving and culturally-qualified user experience. The main goal is to understand the potential of eXtended Reality within CH while also proposing the idea of developing a digital experience platform: an authoring tool based on an engine with core experiences functions that can be applied for developing multiple experiences for CH. This platform will contribute to new approaches, technologies, and tools for creating, processing, and delivering immersive and interactive content for engaging and meaningful experiences in these specific CH environments.
zbirke recepata i uz pomoć voditelja radionica, posjetitelji podijeljeni
u četiri grupe istovremeno su pripremali hranu iz četiri različita
pretpovijesna i povijesna razdoblja.
